Checkerboard Cheesecake — Restaurant in Alliance

GREAT PEOPLE! GREAT SERVICE! GREAT CARROT CAKE! Checkerboard Cheesecake did our wedding cake and it was the best carrot cake either one of us had ever tasted! When we thawed a slice on our first anniversary, we were really only doing it for tradition's sake - we didn't expect it to actually TASTE good - but it was amazing, even after being frozen for a year!

Our three year anniversary (today) snuck up on me and I didn't think to order another carrot cake until two days ago, but they still made it happen. They even put a little happy anniversary message on it and came out to wish me happy anniversary when I picked up the cake. 5 stars for sure -- these guys are awesome, they're great people, and they make a mean carrot cake! Can't wait to dig...

When I called to speak with someone about a cake on the phone they gave me clear information. When we arrived at the shop it was clean with very beautiful displays, and overall a very nice appearance. We were greeted by an older lady who was very rushed and seemed put out by our timing. I am sure she was busy making or assembly something, but I was given the overall impression we were interrupting something which was much more important. She went to check on our request, and another employee showed up with our item. She was quite delightful, cheery, and very friendly. We will return to the shop again in the future, and hopefully we will be treated with a much warmer reception...

First time stopping at Checkerboard Cheesecake since I moved nearby. I have had their beautiful, tasty cupcakes at a couple family parties.

This is a very nice shop! I bought one of the small, chocolate decadence cheesecakes. It was absolute heaven on a plate! My neighbors thought so too.

CC is a real jewel of a bakery to have nearby!

My only tiny quibble is that, while their sign is colorful, the name was hard to make out. With all the quaint shops on Main, and their entrance being set back into the building, I wasn't sure I had found them.

Hope more people find them and the business lives long...
