Rodman Public Library — Attraction in Alliance

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH. My mom has always forced me to join the summer reading programs when I was in elementary and of course I hated it (lol), but as ive gone into middle and now high school its just so FUN. I get so excited every summer knowing i get to beg my mom to take me to the library so i can browse the manga section, and check out books i know i cant fully understand JUST BECAUSE ITS SO COOL . Great selection! They have two different sections of the building: One section is from 1963, which is the original part of the library, and then the 1973 addition. The bright elevator you see was installed in the 2007 addition. The older elevator is original to the library, along with the dumbwaiter in the center. The other dumbwaiter, seen with the decoration around it, is a part of the 1972 addition. Trust me, I would have loved to ride the elevator with the key switch. Every time I enter the library, there sits a cop. A cop. In the library. Completely unnecessary and makes it feel unsafe and dangerous to me to go in.
