GOOD FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE! So often, restaurants (and any service-driven business) can get it wrong. To be fair, there are a ton of little details to worry over and try to execute consistently, so it certainly requires a ton of effort. The managers/owners of Pure Taqueria are doing things right and it shows. My family of 4 arrived early at 6:00 on a Saturday, the restaurant was already busy. The hostess was pleasant and we were seated with in 5 minutes. Tara our server, greeted us with 2 mins, took our drink and appetizer order, and in 5 minutes we had housemade tortillas chips and chunky fresh guacamole, and drinks. They work as a team, as one person (food runner?) dropped off the apps while Tara delivered the drinks. As good as the food and the margaritas were, the service was even better. Tara was attentive and had great timing. One of my kids is a messy tortilla chip eater, I was trying to clean off her area with a napkin, Tara noticed and jumped in and took over for me, without being asked. She picked up a magnet (?) off the floor that everyone else walked by. I asked for a few napkins, they arrived in less than a minute, our dirty plates never sat and our drinks were kept full. Experienced servers are always watching, but only check-in when needed. Tara was like a friendly ninja. (There are Michelin rated restaurants who could learn a bit from her.) Carne asada Tacos were solid and served with an elevated green rice and beans. Margaritas great, Guac was outstanding. Pure Taqueria is casual restaurant that will actually exceed your expectations (and when was the last time that happened?) It is clearly well managed to not only get the fundamentals right but also have the great wisdom to employ and train great people like Tara. We are...
Read moreI have been eating Mexican food all of my life. I was raised in California and lived in Mexico. I have also been a 30 year connoisseur of tequila. I keep, and solely use Don Julio Anejo in my home bar for mixed drinks and typically have a couple cadillac margaritas a week at home. Last week I visited Pure in Alpharetta for the first time. I know you are not supposed to do this however, I made a nice as mentioned above margarita at home, put it in a to go cup and drove to Pure. My 1st drink of 2 for the night.. I'm not a lush but was late to meet some friends for dinner and had worked 70hrs that week... I walked in and asked the bar tender to make me a don julio anejo shaken margarita. I watched the bartender pour from the DJA bottle and the tequila did not look like DJA. At first sip it was obvious that the tequila in the Don Julio bottle was NOT Don Julio Anejo. I have tasted hundreds of tequilas. Most lower end tequilas have a "dusty" finish not refined, rich, oaky, as most Anejo's are. The stuff I was sold for 14 dollars a drink was garbage. Note to PURE, people in Milton will pay whatever you want to charge for a drink. YOU DON"T NEED TO STEAL from them. If $14 bucks for an 6 oz glass is not enough of a revenue driver, raise your prices. Don't switch out cheap tequila for top shelf. It's the oldest trick in the book for an unscrupulous clientele. That's not what you have here... The food was decent even though the portions were small. Had I not been served junk when I paid for better, I would have been a...
Read moreHello fellas. It is situated in the residential area. They have parking right outside the restaurant & across the street. They have indoor & outdoor seating. Gave this restaurant a try after looking at the reviews and ratings.
The first thing that I loved about this restaurant is the ambience & music. It's usually very crowded & loud in there. Perhaps that's why the music is loud too to drown the noise. The music was probably better than their food.
I ordered the quesadilla de pollo & fried fish tacos. They were alright, not all that flavorful. My order was messed up twice but they were very kind & gracious enough to fix it. Their salsa that comes with the chips & black beans were off the chain!! Try that whether you try anything else or not. They also have a mini bar with 2 small screens to watch games.
The servers were very nice, friendly, professional & suggestive. Infact I ordered what my server (Sahar) suggested me. She was also very proactive and informed us which kind of beans contains the pork lard and which doesn't. Not many servers think of informing their customers about it. That was another reason why I gave this restaurant 4 star apart from the likeability of music.
They didn't charge us for the food since they messed it up twice & took more than regular time to fix it. They apologized for the inconvenience caused to us. It showed their professionalism & empathy towards their customers. I would definitely suggest everyone to try this restaurant. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. Will...
