I had a horrible experience at this location and judging from the rest of the reviews, it is the NORM here. Tyler took my order as he slurped his smoothie, and when I asked him to wear gloves, he asked me why did he need to put on gloves? I advised that he was just handling the register to which he replied, we don't touch the food. I still asked him to put on gloves to which he replied, we don't have to. He also said that because I used the word "need"( I said, I need for you to put on gloves) that I don't tell him what he needs to do. I can ask him. He continued to go back and forth about how their policy is that they don't have to wear gloves. Funny how the other two guys had on gloves. I guess it was to protect them from the food. I asked for a manager, and I guess because she was young, he continued to be disrespectful in her presence. She, Mary, apologized for his behavior, but, again advised that they don't have to wear gloves, but that she could make my smoothie. I politely asked for my money back. I later called to ask for a district manager's number, and I was told by Mary that she was not allowed to give out the information. She provided me with an email address and proceeded to tell me that she spoke with Tyler and advised him that his behavior was unacceptable. She also shared that he was young and a spoiled rich kid. Okay, well maybe he doesn't need to work and should let someone else who has respect for customers take his place. I took my $$$ to Winward Parkway where they happily wore gloves and with a smile. I will continue to drive right past this location. And I see that the responses to all of the bad reviews are GENERIC and insincere. No need to ask me to reach out to tell you more about my experience. You have it all right here. It was horrible and unacceptable. Tyler's behavior was unacceptable and unwarranted. I have experienced bad customer service, but he takes that cake! I hope his...
Read moreI’ve always counted on smoothie king to get my breakfast + lunch before work for the day and love it! However, this morning I was told to wait for several minutes at the drive through before my order would be taken. After several minutes of waiting, I was finally turned away from the drive through due to the employee being too busy. There was only one car in front of me and no one was in the store. I understand they may have been busy with online orders, but it’s frustrating to be turned away. I didn’t have time to go elsewhere this morning so I had to skip out on getting any food for the day entirely. I have sympathy for this employee since I can understand being overwhelmed, but my hope is that this location may try to staff more employees for the morning hours. I think this sort of establishment should be well prepared for morning time customers. Felt like poor customer service skills to turn away a customer and I would not recommend coming here in the mornings unless you have 20+...
Read moreThe 6/25 afternoon shift was struggling today. I ordered via the mobile app at 2:25, with an estimated pickup at 2:35. I pull into the drive thru at 2:30 to let the staff know I’m here to pickup, and sat for 5 minutes “on-hold” with 4 cars in front of me.
I left the line and went inside at 2:35 since my smoothie should be on the counter, and discovered that the cars in front of me had already been waiting 20 minutes for their smoothies. Find out that my order has been lost, I waited inside for another 10 minutes waiting for someone to make my smoothie, in that time, only 2 other smoothies are made. I told the staff to cancel my order and was told to call to get my refund. Called at 3:10 to initiate the refund, and was told to call the next morning since only a manager can issue a refund.
What’s going on here? Now I have an errand to run on your behalf because you guys can’t figure out how to put strawberries and ice into a blender?
Smoothie King? More like...
