WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER! Tried this Popeyes for the first time … this is my LAST visit to any Popeyes ever again! The absolute worst experience ever!
When I walked in to pick up my mobile order none of the employees acknowledged me. There was a man standing to the side waiting on his order. No other customers in the establishment- just a little kid about 4 years old running around. He ran into me three times, then came back inside with an employee (he obviously was an employee’s child). Another lady walks in and an employee asked what she needed - I still haven’t been assisted. She said she was picking up an order. Then they asked what I needed and I told them I was picking up an order. They asked my name and they said my order was the only one that was ready. I ordered wings with sauce on the side. As I leave I open the container to check the food and noticed the wings have been tossed in sauce. I walk back over and tell them my wings had sauce on the side. The lady with the red braids tells me my order was correct. I said no, I ordered sauce on the side. She says “wings with sauce on the side are sauced, sauce on the side means we give you extra sauce on the side”. She then says “you’re gonna have to wait”. She then starts griping loudly about me and my “sauce on the side” to another employee so that everyone can here. I then proceeded to tell her I’d gotten wings from other Popeyes with sauce on the side and she said “that’s how we do it everywhere”. She then looks at me and says “I ain’t talking to you.” She then says to the other employee “why she talking when I ain’t talking to her? She needs to stay out of it.” She may not have been talking “to” me, but she was making sure she talked loud enough ABOUT ME to make sure I could hear her. Such disgusting & poor behavior. Popeyes will never get another dime from me.
As for this location, I looked at their other reviews and see that management continues to apologize and say that they take the concerns seriously, but they obviously don’t because it’s the same scenario with the employees over and over in the reviews. I also see I’m not the only person treated horribly by the girl with the red braids. Popeyes corporate needs to do something about...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying that I love Popeye's food. I've eaten at their locations all around the country and truly enjoy it. This review is about the Old Milton Alpharetta location specifically.
The biggest contributor to this 1 star review is that I have yet to successfully get food here. Cumulatively I've waited about two hours for food over seven visits and never gotten any; every time I've left to eat anything else. The most recent time was December 23rd:
I was off work and went to Popeye's at 10, which was my mistake to be fair. The other locations in the area open at 10 but this one is 10:30. No big deal, I had some shopping to do and came back just before 11, so they'd been open 27 minutes at the time of order. Before I could order I was told, "we don't have no food ready come back in half an hour". Let's think about this for a second. A restaurant opening at 10:30, a quick service, fast food restaurant no less, won't actually have food until an entire hour AFTER they've opened for business? Needless to say I did not return.
The kicker is that this is consistent. Last time I visited was the Saturday prior, around 3 in the afternoon, and was told their chicken was frozen so I needed to come back that night or, more likely, the next day. The prior 5 visits have all been disappointments as well; visit #4 I sat in the drive thru line that did not move for 22 minutes (was on a phone call and not paying attention to how absurdly long the wait was) before driving to Chick Fil A down the street.
I've worked in quick service food before. I've eaten other Popeye's locations many times before. This particular location would benefit by closing down and reopening with an entirely new staff, potentially as an entirely new restaurant. It's easy to blame the workers for not having food ready or doing their jobs well, but this is clearly an issue with management. The Manager and assistants all need to be blacklisted from the food service industry. I've given up on this location entirely and drive an extra 15 minutes south to the next one. I advise you...
Read moreI went into this Popeyes on April 24th 2025 between 2:30 pm and 3pm ( order number 87) with my survey receipt. This receipt allows you to get free chicken for doing a survey. I pull up and explain to the person in drive-thru of this receipt and she was rude telling me to come in the building, I said why? She said so they can process my request. Just to be clear I have done this request before through the drive-thru. I go in and the nice but very young manager was there to assist me. He had assisted me before through the drive-thru. I asked him why did your employee request me to come in order to process my transaction. The young girl was standing near us while I was talking to the very young manager about the situation. He apologized and said she could have processed it in the drive-thu. The manager started to assist me with my order and I asked for a fish sandwich with no tarter and the lady manager said real loud we have no tarter. The manager that was assisting me then said she doesn’t want any tarter. This is where the ignorant guy that was preparing my sandwich put a lot of mayonnaise on my sandwich on purpose. I asked the manager for his name and no one would give it to me. Keep in mind the nice young manager seemed intimidated by this employee. Since my experience at this location was so awful I attempted to find a customer service compliant number for Popeyes in order to speak to a live person and they don’t have one. My sisters also had problems with Popeyes near their home area. We decided to stop going to Popeyes completely because the customer service has been pretty bad even before the covid. Sometimes you have to hit a company in their pockets so they can understand customer service is very important because we work hard for our money and it needs to be respected. I guess everyone can’t be like...
