The burger was good quality, greasy, and tasty. The cookie was out of this world!
Dish: Mr Burger - $6.35. The 1/3lb burger patty was medium to high quality. Top chefs know that fat is what gives a burger its juiciness and flavor that sells it well and the Mr Burger definitely has that. I wasn’t as much for the amount of special sauce and lettuce, but that is probably a preference.
Side: Chocolate Chip Cookie - $2. I bought this on a whim for my son and took a bite. It was like watching a homerun for the first time as a kid, it was that good! Wowie! It was super soft and just the right amount of sweet to it and a texture that melts in your mouth. My son felt so impressed by my reaction, he gave me the last bite, too. HA HA.
Service: Everyone seemed to be working hard and happy. The cashier and order taker were especially cheerful and ready to jump on any need, even without being asked. You pick up a tray after walking in the front door, check out the menu, order at the first opening, pay and pickup at the second opening. You then find a seat at any of the dozens of booths available.
Atmosphere: Seemed to be an old 40’s or 50’s gas station diner and was cozy like one, too. Come for a quick bite or stay with your friends and chat.
Conclusion: Everyone in Grand Rapids area talks about Mr Burger and for good reason. It is a classy place.

Read moreThe price was the best thing about this cafeteria style restaurant. We ate breakfast on a Saturday morning and the food, coffee, and service were great for the price point. The restaurant could use a spiffying up. A bright or intense modern color on the outside (maybe a fresh yellow or a deep navy blue, but not too dark) and clean, bright white walls inside with a few big reproductions of fun colorful art (photographs, posters or prints of paintings...) Then after some time to recoup the losses on the paint job, the flooring, lighting, counter area, tables and booths could use a facelift, and the windows either need a good wash or to be replaced with newer glass. Most important of those would be ordered as follows: Lighting Flooring Counter Area, particularly where the customers are looking (menu board is ugly and the space between the tray counter and the top of the partition is what the customers are staring at as they wait.) First impressions count. You don't need it to be fancy, just colorful, interesting and visually appealing. The trays could be a better color than boring beige too. Windows I say all this because I did enjoy my meal, and the service. I worry that when a place starts looking tired it can send the business down the tubes. I sincerely wish you good luck with...
Read moreA typical Mr.Burger. Not as good as when it was the Filling station. We ordered the Olive burger deluxe, I was thinking it would be a double meat, my fault I didn't double check. The burger was more done than I cared for. It was just ok. The real disappointment was the onion rings. I specifically went to this location because the Filling Station hand dipped them and gave huge amounts. The rings I got were not hand dipped and there were only 8 to the whole order. The hot fudge sundae was also very small, it comes in a beautiful sundae glass and looks big, but it's all glass. Not much more than 1 small scoop of ice cream and no cherry on top.All in all, a very disappointing experience. I generally go to other Mr Burger locations for breakfast which is...
