This particular Gordon Foods location was remodelled not long ago.
And, it looks quite good. Not that it looked bad before, either.
I think they also may have moved a few things around since before the remodel.
As far as prices go, not too bad. But, seems like the sizes of everything is a bit larger than more common size found in those same items elsewhere.
From what I understand, they sort of had "business to business" selling in mind with that.
But, of course, you don't need to be a business owner to be able to walk in off the street and buy items at Gordon's.
All in all, not a bad place to shop. They have the national brands you know, as well a few lesser known brands (possibly generic brand?) and store brand items.
My one and only minor complaint is they don't use plastic or paper shopping bags for putting your items in.
They use the empty cardboard boxes that items they sell came shipped in.
Sav-a-Lot is another chain of stores that does this. But, unlike Gordon Foods, they have actual plastic shopping bags to put your food items in.
Although, admittedly, unlike other supermarket chains, Sav-a-Lot will charge you a very small fee for shopping bags.
Anyway... though my star rating here for Gordon Foods will show as being 4 stars, It's actually intended to be 4 and a half...

Read moreFirst two visits were great. As I sit in the parking lot, frustrated, I can't help but want to walk back in the store and yell. I won't. But, I want to! Kaden didn't even bother boxing my items. He threw them in my cart willy nilly and pushed it thru, without so much as a thanks. I had to dig for boxes, which were all busted and broken. Nearly dropped all my groceries on the ground when the bottom of my box fell thru. I will not be back. I'll go downtown. Kaden even watched, as I struggled with all the groceries, then just walked away. Meanwhile, every other cashier at GFS asks if you need boxes and happily loads them. Kaden sucks and needs...
