RIPOFF AND RUDE. My family (of 3) yesterday went in to bowl yesterday as it seemed to be more family-friendly than Lincoln Lanes (which we live closer to). We checked prices on the website 2 hours before heading out and saw a game was $2, which was a great deal-- expecting to pay under $25 for a fun family outing. While at the counter, we let the employee know that there were three of us, we would all need shoes, and we planned on playing two games. Our total was $55, which seemed high, but I was anxious to get started. 8 frames into our second game, a message flashed across the screen which stated we needed to go up to the counter if we wanted to continue bowling. I went up and a young man at the counter was scrolling through his phone for a few minutes before greeting me with a "sup girl?". I let him know of the message on the screen and he got on the computer and said we were charged for "6.2 games" (not sure how we can pay for a partial game, but okay). I let him know that we had only wanted 2 games (x3 people, which would equal 6 games). He then stated that it looked like we paid for NINE games, rather than the "six point two" and that our game was "definitely over" and that he would call for his manager to come explain the charges. I then called my spouse over as I was confused and upset. The manager came over to go over our charge and their pricing and said that she "just updated the pricing on the website; games are now $5.25 and it takes a full 24 hours to show up on the website". Okay fine, but if you KNOW it takes 24 hours to show up on the website, why wouldn't you KEEP the pricing AT THE ALLEY the same until the "true" pricing shows up on the website? Even at $5.25 per game and a $3.25 shoe rental, this would have only come up to $41.25 plus tax (so like just under $44), NOT $55. She kept saying that it "made sense" (it doesn't) and offered us 2 free games for "the confusion". We did not want two free games, we wanted to NOT be argued with -- an actual explanation would have been sufficient, as well as the opportunity to FINISH the second game we had been playing. We are very unimpressed and will try out Lincoln...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was our first time here. I cannot believe how rude the staff was . I knew it was gonna be a problem when the man at checkout was giving us a weird look. We payed for 2 games grabbed 2 lanes since we had a few people meeting us there . He gave us issues on that but we just overlooked it cause we respectfully understood his concern despite his rude way of looking at us . So after playing one game we decided let's check out what food they got here. The lady was just happily chatting away with other customers and as soon as me and my boyfriend came over her face changed completely! She had the most annoyed look on her face ever . In my situation being Hispanic and boyfriend being black, it was hard not to think it was due to race. She just stood there with her hands on her hips like we were causing problems. They didn't have any pizza or pitchers of water (weirdly we saw pitchers everywhere)for our tables so we said thank you and went back to our game . She didn't even say anything just stood there looking annoyed.. then after playing the two games we thought we had we had an extra one so I told my boyfriend he should go to the front desk and make sure the man put it in right cause I was worried they would charge my card for an extra. Apparently him and my brother in law got chewed up ! The man at the front desk said " he is a pro" and knew what he was doing wouldn't allow my brother in law to speak his concerns and was aggressive with his rudeness so much that my brother in law (from new york) was completely shocked at how employees treat customers! We played our games and toke our shoes back and the " pro" at the desk thought he cover his ass and apologize.. my brother in law accepted but I was beyond disgusted at the fact you think it's okay to speak to people in that matter ! Why treat everyone (because I was watching )with respect and kindness but the minute a Hispanic and black family show up you want to be utterly rude? Customers or not we were nice the minute we walked in there . I highly doubt I will be back in here ! Disgusting customer experience and sad it was my first time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe called prior to showing up knowing itās league season. We asked if we could reserve lanes we were told no it was first come first serve. Show up at 8 pm to find we have to be put on a waiting list. 30mins to an hour wait. While waiting we see multiple lanes open with names on the screen. When I went back to the desk to ask about reservations they said oh yes we do. Well after 40 mins of staring at the reserved empty lanes. I went back up and I asked how long do you hold the lanes for we have been here 45 mins and no one has showed up for these 4 lanesā¦.. she said oh they reserved them for 930⦠I asked so we show up at 8 and you hold these lanes open until this person who reserved them for 930!?ā¦. We are a big family 2 adults 6 kids. We would have had multiple upset kids had we walked out like I wanted to. Eventually we get our text saying our lanes were ready. We needed two. She says okay you guys will be on this plane I said well we were waiting for two lanesā¦. She said oh well Iām going to put you all on one lane which we are not typically aloud to do as if she was doing me a favor? No we need two lanes we have multiple kids it would take an hour just to finish a game with 8 of us on one lane with 4 kids whoās ball moves slower than a snail to the pins. So we say whatever we canāt just leave the kids are excited and have waited for so long. Eventually she clears another lane and we get two lanesā¦.. two of the four lanes that were supposedly reservedā¦.. the communication was terrible they treated us as if we weee the problem. When our frustration came out of their inconsistent rules and prices. Which was a whole other issue. Again we called ahead to get pricing and see how to get lanes. Weāre were told one price to get there and be charged completely different than told over the phone. We will not be returning which is unfortunate for them because again we have a big family and we bowl every weekend. Writing this out to say to...
