This place might make it on the fact that there puts much else around, it it’s not worth it if you have a choice to keep driving.
Super cute little coffee shop and bakery but they don’t have service under control at all. We stopped in on the way out of town. Maybe 1 or 2 other guests were in when we got there and ordered. We got coffee soon and waited for our 2 waffles. We watched as a couple that ordered after us got their food before us. I think they have that couple our order. I asked about our order of waffles and we were told they were being cooked right now. After another family got their food and still had not gotten ours, I asked again. Again told it was coming. I finally must have shown some irritation and said everyone else was getting their order. That’s when they realized someone else took our order and said they’d make it right now. I said no thank you we may have to go somewhere else. The worker replied “there’s no where else to go.” I said yes on the road home which we are needing to be going right now. It’s been like an hour. She offered a refund, then before giving the refund says, “oh I thought y’all were different people. We have yours right here...
Read moreSmall place easily accessible from road. Easy to find on-street parking and there is an adjacent small lot. We were there at breakfast and once again we were disappointed that there were no cinnamon rolls but the breakfast sandwich was a good alternative. It's a smallish sandwich of sourdough bread (or another if you prefer) layered with egg, a small amount of cheese and your choice of a protein. It's a nice alternative to a greasier fast-food offering. I'd like to see a larger offering of pastries. The coffee was good, not great. Service was good -- prompt, attentive, professional and friendly. The space is clean with a small area for seating in front of the counter and more seating in an adjacent business. We had heard so much about the cinnamon rolls so we will make another visit in the hopes that the rolls...
Read moreThe chocolate chip scone I had was incredibly fresh and tender. Delicious with my honey oat milk latte. My husband wanted a cold latte, but they only had hot drinks. The sourdough scones/filled pastries we took back to our VRBO were truly unique and outstanding in flavor. Makes me want to return to Alpine and I live eight hours away!!! Although we received good service, I did notice a team of out of town firefighters get ignored when they came in by the barista who was busy helping a friend. Maybe they wanted more of a deli than a bakery situation. But who knows? Barista didn’t even ask them what they needed. We also spoke to one of the bakers, a hard-working young man who proudly told us he had made the scone I was enjoying. Delicious...
