Great cheese/garlic bread, great pizza, wonderful cheese sticks. Honestly I cannot have pizza from anywhere else anymore. I been here at least 4+ times a month. Every time always the same outcome. Love it!

So I live in the town of Lockhart. I try everything once... ok mostly everything. I cook so I have a natural tongue for taste. This restaurant has something really addicting in their pizza and garlic cheese bread. The Garlic Cheese bread alone is filling but sooooooo good, and you can TASTE the garlic, the melted cheese, you can smell it unlike many other places I have been too.
I cannot find really any Pizza place in Orlando, Apopka, Maitland, Altamonte Springs or even in Lake Mary that comes close to this location.
I WILL say NOT all Anthony's Pizza locations are the same. In fact some are complete rubbish.
What I also love about this place is the pizza you can literally place it back in the oven the next day and will come out the same as it was when it was fresh.
This is literally the best in my humble opinion and I am extremely picky eater and as I say I'd rather cook, but this place is on point, and not cheap but not over the top expensive.
Also you may want to call in your order before picking it up. They CAN GET PACKED and BUSY. Not just during lunch and dinner hours. Seriously call it in.
Dining inside or outside tables is available.
My cousin raves about the Calzones.
One last thing, don't order cheese & bacon fries to go. The lid and the aluminum dish they put them in makes them soggy when you open them later, eat them as ordered (dine in) and they are good too.
My pizza was: Pepperoni & Sausage (Sausage is SLICED not the other sausage people are used to from other popular pizza places PH, HH, Dom) Extra large My Garlic bread was: Large/Full size Cheese Garlic Bread My cost: After taxes 34.00
I don't see this place going out of business anytime soon.
5 years later still same...
Read moreMy mother just called up there a little while ago and ordered a few pizzas. I guess there was a mix up with the location, since there's about 4 Anthony's Pizza within a 5 mile radius of our home, and my mother had to call and cancel the order. She was very apologetic about the whole thing, and the girl who was initially on the phone with my mom was understanding about it. I'm not sure what happened, if the girl asked the owner to talk to my mom or if he took the phone from her, I just don't know. Either way, my mother had an incredibly unpleasant conversation, if you can even call it that, with the owner. He started out with an attitude from the get go, and after a few seconds on the phone, he was SCREAMING at her. Telling her "that's not what you do!!!", when she TRIED explaining why she had to cancel the order. He wouldn't let her talk, because he kept yelling over her. Eventually, my mom had had enough and hung up on him.
His treatment of my mom was completely unacceptable and moreso, very unprofessional. I've worked in many restaurants over the years and I can tell you, no one should be SCREAMING at people because they did something you didn't like, let alone the owner.
I gave this a 2 star rating instead of 1 because the food is actually REALLY REALLY good, and it makes me so disappointed that this happened. I've also never had an issue with them over the last 4 or 5 years until now. Every time I've gone in, the girls taking the orders and serving the dine-ins, have all been spectacular. I just can't believe that the owner would act like a bratty little kid over an honest mistake.
I am so disappointed. Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever return, along with everyone else I tell about this BS. I really wish this didn't happen, their...
Read moreI'm updating my review to a 5 because this place has become my go-to for takeout pizza.
The Value: The specific ratings are food, service and atmosphere but the criteria I weigh most heavily is how much I feel that the price was worth the total package. I've been coming a long time, but more frequently lately as prices of lower quality pizzas have risen to the point where I've made an intentional decision to grab pizza slightly less frequently, but when I do I go ahead and get a quality pie from Anthony's.
The Place: As I mentioned, I don't live far away and have always come here occasionally. It is a smaller place with just a few small tables and a couple of booths but is a nice sit in restaurant where someone can order a pasta while I order a slice. It is a casual atmosphere but a nice and cozy one. There's usually a few older guys working in the back with a girl running the counter. I don't know if they're family, but some of them very well could be. Then again, I've never heard those loud arguments in the back so maybe they're not family. Anyway, it feels like a nice family atmosphere.
The Service: I usually pick up my pizza after calling ahead and have never had any issue. I usually speak to a polite younger woman both on the phone and when I pick up.
The Pizza: The crust is very good, like real fresh dough. All of the ingredients are real and fresh and it really comes through. I usually get a Hawaiian and a specialty pizza called "The Boss" with meat and green peppers and things. Really good stuff. And it reheats well the next day, so much better than the delivery chains both fresh...
