At a place once known as the Waffle King, Nicoletta's Family Restaurant with an Italian family heritage now resides in its place.
My dad and I love the breakfast here, I never went for lunch or dinner, mostly due to the very early closing time. We usually get carry out although on rare occasions we will stop in and sit down. Generally, its nearly 2-3 times a week I will get our usual from here, only costing $11.
Now for the nitty gritty:
Staff: The girls are all friendly and if you are a regular, they will remember your name and usually what you order. The cooks are good at what they do, especially when making my order. My orders for takeout are never messed up, only once was the toast missing.
Service: Quick when you hit there at the right time. Depending on the cook situation determines how long a wait can last. Another perk is they will deliver with a minimum order cost of $10 I believe.
Prices: Overall, I feel they are very cheap compared to another diner style favorite...Denny's. For three people, your bill can still be under $20. Take home menus are available.
Building/Parking: The old Waffle King building is aging and some renovations could be done inside, but one could argue that the current state is still functional and rustic in a good way. There are enough seating arrangements. Things can get busy after 8:30 am, but there's additional parking in the back.
The food: Like I said, I only get breakfast from here, but I can imagine the other parts of the menu being good as well. Breakfast is the whole reason I come here, it tastes great. Only a few times has it not been as good as before, but overall it is exactly where it should be quality wise. Fun fact, Dino's pizza also operates under the same owners as Nicoletta's.
Overall, results and expectations will vary from different people. I'm not saying you need a high or low standard to enjoy eating here. One bad visit does not dictate a bad business. With my personal beliefs aside, I support the local business and would encourage...
Read moreOur first time coming here and it was soo nice. Our waitress, Lisa was such a sweetheart and joked around with us and was very patient with us when we were ordering. We were in awe of the cute wittle train that went around the tracks around the room around us. We got iced tea that came in cartons which I thought was so cute, it reminded me of high school. Our food was really yummy, we had a couple little mishaps like missing an cup of mayo and a side of bacon strips but nothing major that changed our opinion of this place. The parking lot gets packed super fast and we had to park around back and walk to the door in the rain which wasn't the best but I guess if it's this packed it must be a great place. I got the grilled chicken salad and man was it yummy and super filling, I had to get a to go box for half of it. The BLT club looked really yummy and well put together and the fries are delicious. The Breakfast items are super yummy and look like the Cooks took their time to make sure it all looked great as well as tasted yummy. I definitely will be coming back and definitely recommend this place for any kind of meal. Breakfast, lunch...
Read moreWaited 45 minutes for a bowl of chili, burger, and salad. Watched 3 other tables whose significant orders were taken after ours served their meals. This was the tail end of the lunch window. Place was only half full. Salad came out of the cooler after I made an issue of waiting so long. Must have been frozen at one point because the edges of the lettuce were soggy. Chili was not very good and burger was just meh. When we went to leave out of the side door from which we had entered, we found the cross-bar fire doors had been chained and padlocked. There were about 20 customers still there. CLEARLY a fire code violation. People DIE from bone-headed moves like this. When questioned, the staff said that they would be closing in an hour so they locked the doors. Had to walk my 84 year old mother all the way to the front of the building and then around the outside of the building to get back to the car. Won't be going back and will not...
