Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Alvin

I am not one to complain about a location. I understand people make mistakes, everyone is human. This place though is THE most incompetent restaurant I have ever been to. I have been here a number of times trying to give it a chance, and to my disappointment EVERY time it's a failure.

For 1. The line to the drive thru is always out to the road, not because a lot of people go here, but it will literally take you 15-20 minutes to get to ordering your food.

EVERY time we go, the orders get messed up. Either something gets missed or they don't follow simple directions. It's as if they listen to you on one end of the speaker and try to do everything from the memory of a goldfish.

To give you some insight of how bad it was today... We ordered an ice cream cone, a moo-late, a drink, fry, onion ring, and a sundae. They brought out the moo-late, drink, fry and thought that was it. Then we had to tell the lady we also had other things and had a blank stare. We had to tell her onion rings and a sundae, then she forgot the ice cream cone as well. She forgot every single item and by the time we got everything, the ice cream was melting to the point we had to scarf it down before it melted all over us. Can't even enjoy it.

Will NOT be returning here. I will drive to Friendswood or Pearland if I have to for ice cream and...

Firstly, this particular Dairy Queen location has The Best customer service; no matter what time of day I hit the drive thru I know I’m going to get A-1 service. The folks at the drive thru window are always respectful, friendly-presenting, and precise. One of my favorite faces to encounter is Brandon; his energy is outstanding and I’ve appreciated all of my interactions with him. Now, the food: I won’t lie to you; I order the same thing every single time I pull up, BUT I drive from my home in Webster, Texas SPECIFICALLY because this location has OUTSTANDING bacon cheeseburgers! I live near the Webster Dairy Queen on Highway 3 where they serve turkey bacon in place of real bacon—and they don’t even bother to crisp it, so when you bite into in everything is pulled from between the bun. TRASH! Friendswood? While they do crisp the bacon it’s still TURKEY BACON!! TRASH!!! For some, a twenty-five minute drive for a burger might seem wild, but I don’t care about those people’s opinions. My ONLY less than stellar critique is that when I say I want extra pickles I’m gonna need y’all to stop playing with my emotions; plug yo girl with like 10 pickle chips! I like my left eye to water a little bit when I bite into...

Slow, TERRIBLY SLOW!! Too slow for fast food!!! You can drive to the Pearland dairy Queen by 35 and 518 and get your order and drive back to the Alvin dairy Queen and still be faster than this particular store. Been here only 3 times and honestly never left sooner than 28 mins in drive-through. Went inside once to see if I could beat the drive-thru and it was still a long time and waited just to have the ice cream somehow already 1/3melted, I opened the container and it poured all over my shirt and pants. They have like seven employees working, and can't seem to get the job done, The dairy Queen in Pearland which is a much larger volume store has only two people working and they get you out in about 5 minutes and the ice cream's not already melted. DAIRY QUEEN ALVIN, HIRE SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN WORK!!!

The manager replied he would fix the problem, guess what?? Jan 25th 2022, 6 months later after leaving this last review I decided to give dairy Queen another Chance there were only four cars when I got here and here I am been sitting here already 35 minutes and still have not made it to the window to get my food.
