Went for the first time after church last week and it was absolutely delicious. I do agree everything needs a little salt (which is why I gave four stars), but it’s still really delicious. The salsa is served warm with fresh cilantro and onion. The queso is how my nephew likes it (“no stuff” lol) but they do give you a cup of pickled jaleps on the side with it. Next time I think I’ll ask for a side of pico also (I had it with my fajitas and it was so delicious and fresh and will add something to the queso).
I got a combination plate with a cold plate first, then a hot plate. And I LOVEDDDDDD that they made certain to bring the cold plate first, wait about ten minutes, THEN brought the hot plate. I cannot stand it when restaurants bring them at the same time or don’t give you enough time in between the dishes. This allowed me to leisurely finish the taco and chalupa and the hot plate was fresh and delicious (cheese enchiladas).
My wife got the beef fajitas and they were SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! Like I couldn’t believe how delicious they were. The beef was sliced then and it wasn’t chewy or fatty at all. And they serve it with this lemon dipped in some sort of heavenly seasoning on top. And when you squeeze the lemon over the fajitas it wakes it up and brings it to life!!!We usually have limes with fajitas but this lemon and its seasoning has changed my life!! Lol!
Service was exceptional - we never had an empty glass! Will absolutely be back and I can’t wait to try their...
Read moreThis is another post raving about Patron Mexican Restaurant located in the old Hartz restaurant in the Fairway Plaza (next to the also awesome Let’s Pho! )
We actually walked in 30 mins before closing. I hate doing that but time got away from us and mom and I were starving - They didn’t even blink about it. They seated us immediately and as soon as we sat down, light crisp chips were placed on the table along with yummy salsa that had been heated up warm! Well, that was already 1 and 2 pluses on the list.
Everyone was friendly - and my mom got quesadillas and I ordered a taco salad. We noted everything was great and fresh - Of exceptional note was the pico de gallo. Mom wanted a lot of guacamole and the server actually gave her more!
This time, for drinks - we just had water with lemon - We were happily surprised that the water was REALLY good!
All the boxes on my check list were filled. Great service, great food, clean restaurant. We will DEFINITELY be frequenting this place again. It’s one of our new go-to restaurants in Alvin for Mexican. I look forward to trying the margaritas next time I am there. Don’t be afraid to try it. You know There’s like 10 in Alvin and these people are definitely trying their hardest to be the ones we come back to - I think they doing a great job giving us awesome mexican food! I wish every restaurant’s service and quality was...
Read moreFirst time dining here brought my family of 5. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas, my husband ordered the Texas appetizer plate and my kids ordered off the kids menu. I have never sent food back before but I should have here. I just didn’t think they’d be able to fix anything. The enchiladas were very disappointing. I could tell they sat under an heat lamp for some time. The meat was dry and it was smothered in what tasted like store bought green sauce. I only ate my rice and beans and shared my husband’s appetizer plate and the quesadillas on there were soaked in grease. My kids didn’t eat their food either. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Our bill was almost $80 and it was definitely not worth it. I’m sorry but I just want to be honest and hope they are able...
