✨ GREAT SUSHI SPOT IN ALVIN, TEXAS ✨ If you’re in Alvin, I got a great sushi spot for you! 🙌 They actually also have an ALL YOU CAN EAT option for only $24 / adult 😱 I thought everything was good. They have tons of cooked and raw specialty rolls and cooked dishes. I loved their hibachi and teriyaki 😋 Right now, they’re doing crawfish as well! 📍 Takara Sushi & Steak House // 1701 Fairway Dr, Alvin, TX 📌 SAVE THIS POST FOR LATER . . . . . . . . #houston #houstontx #houstonblogger #houstoninfluencer #sushi #japanesefood #houstonfoodies #houstonfood

Stopped in on a whim. Noticed the all you can eat buffet sign when i walked in. Immediately i was sold. Thats what me and my husband decided to do. We asked questions about the all you can eat and the waitress was not at all helpful with the answers (the ones she actually answered). Anyway. You order each time you want food. We placed our order, food came out extremely fast. Not many people in the restaurant at this time. To order more food you have to flag the wait staff down. It took forever to get one of the twos attention. Finally got our second order placed. That food took a while to come out it seemed. There were a few more customers and the food was cooked more than the first set we ordered. Flagged wait staff down again eventually to placed the 3rd order, got a few items and dessert so we didnt have to wait to flag them down again. I am assuming they do it this way so you dont eat much food which sucks because there was so much more i wanted to try. I really think they should have an ipad or some kind of computer/tablet at each table so we can order when we want something instead of flagging down staff that purposely dodges you. Portions were smaller but it worked out great so you arent wasting food. They do have an hour and a half time limit of the all you can eat option and of course no sharing. The little robot was super cool, i want to bring my kids just for that thing. I plan on going back soon since i kind of know what im doing now, hopefully the wait staff is better this next time.

A Mixed Bag with Room for Improvement This place is pretty okay, but I can’t help but see the potential it has. With a few tweaks here and there, it could really be something special. I’ve ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Hibachi Combo plate a few times, and each time it’s been a bit of a hot blob of sauce. It’s like the dish is hiding under all that flavor – a little balance could go a long way! The soups, on the other hand, swung the other way. They were kind of bland and could really use a kick of something to bring out the flavor. It was like they were just going through the motions – warm with a lot of items, but no real flavor. On a brighter note, I did enjoy the sushi and salads. They were fresh, tasty, and a nice change from the other dishes. It’s clear there’s some good stuff happening in the kitchen – it just needs to happen a bit more! All in all, this place has got the basics down, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Here’s hoping they take the opportunity to fine-tune and bring out the best in what they have to offer!

Paid for a buffet which I never do. Got stale rice. Spit out my rotten fish roll, got two shrimp in a seafood soup, got very ill after. My first marriage was 3 days later and I was extremely ill. I only ate at my place and nowhere else. I'm an expert cook so my side wasn't the problem. That rotten fish I spit out was. You literally messed up the most important day of my life and insulted me bringing out low grade old food at $40 a person. Y'all aren't even Japanese. And your new reviews are fake. I know someone on the city council and will ask the inspector to drop. In a previous review there are rat chewed sweet and low packets. I never been this harsh but once I saw that review I knew you guys just bought out a place you can't run. You ruined my wedding imo. What is crazy is a week before the food was perfect. I asked to talk to the chef and he couldn't speak English and gave me an evil eye the whole time.. I was smiling and saying ty and he was like " get rid of this guy ". So from best food to pure trash. That made me sick on my wedding day. Never going...
