Rude barista staff with serious hygiene concerns.

I ordered two cappuccinos that were served lukewarm. When I approached the barista to politely request hot replacements, I was met with immediate attitude from all three baristas, who rolled their eyes and made comments as I stood there.

Instead of making fresh cappuccinos, the barista proceeded to pour the semi-drunk coffees back into the milk jug used for other customers and attempted to reheat them. This not only showed a lack of care but also raised serious hygiene concerns. When I asked if he could make fresh ones, he initially refused. After insisting, he begrudgingly agreed to make new drinks.

As the milk was frothing, I requested a little less milk in the cappuccino. This seemed to aggravate the baristas further. The taller barista with the baseball cap made one of the cappuccinos without any milk, put the lid on, and nearly threw it at me. He then rudely told me he wouldn't deal with customers like me, becoming extremely aggressive. He went to get the manager for a refund, even though I simply wanted the coffee, not a refund.

Thankfully, the manager was nice and helpful, and eventually, the barista made the coffee correctly. However, the unprofessional behavior of the baristas, along with the disturbing hygiene practices, ruined the entire experience. It's a real shame they employ staff who act this way. I would seriously consider firing these three individuals as their conduct was appalling and completely...

I visited Fonville Press back in March and really enjoyed the atmosphere and coffee. I decided to come back today to try out their food with some friends. We ordered some lattes, three salads, and cheesy bread. After ordering the lattes, the barista told us they were out of those flavors - no big deal. He asked us what flavors we wanted and went along. When he came out with the drinks, he asked us who had the milk substitute. He then proceeded to tell us he accidentally made the drinks wrong and placed them down. He didn’t even offer to fix them. Two of the salads came out within five minutes, and it took nearly forty minutes for the cheesy bread and the third salad to come out. When the salad came out, the chicken looked inedible. We asked one of the waitresses about why the chicken looked like that and she said it was maybe the lighting. I asked them to take it back but that they didn’t have to send out another plate. No one came back and offered any kind of apology, explanation, refund, or anything. For the price of the food, we at least expected quality. We will not be returning. I never leave reviews, but this is absurd. We used to love this place, but the service has become absolutely horrible. The workers do not care to do their jobs at all. We have been multiple times when it’s not crowded, and no one cares to even attempt to make a simple coffee drink. After multiple bad experiences in a row, we will not be back. Tonight, we waited 20 minutes for a simple coffee order, and noticed the bartender is sitting there doing nothing. After 15 minutes, I politely asked if the coffee order was received at the bar. He said he didn’t know but would check. He didn’t check. 5 minutes later, we just left. Also they are incredibly rude and another time have asked us to get up from the bar seats when we just ordered drinks so people ordering food could sit. I guess I would normally agree, but at the time there were two other people at the bar and multiple empty seats.
