Arby's — Restaurant in Amarillo

07/04/2024 - Whether you call it a "HEE-ro", "GEE-ro", "JAI-ro" or anything else, Arby's Greek Gyro sandwich is AWESOME!

I must admit that I am very pleasantly surprised over how well my online order was processed. I set pickup time for 1:15 pm, and arrived at the drive-thru speaker at 1:08. When I gave the young lady my name and told her I had an online order, she said she didn't see one for me, but instructed me to drive through to the window.

When I got there (had to wait about 3 minutes for two cars ahead of me), the young lady working the window immediately reached out and handed me my Orange Cream Shake: apparently, my order had arrived. After waiting about 2 more minutes for them to finish modifying my Gyro (I LOVE veggies), I was given my order and told nicely to have a wonderful day. The time? 1:15 on the dot. Impressive.

The large Orange Cream Shake is absolutely DELICIOUS, and my modified Greek Gyro was simply awesome! And, since the Gyro was an online deal, the total cost was $10.27 - which I feel is quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food, especially in light of the economy.

SUMMARY: The food was properly prepared, my added condiments correctly included, and napkins were thoughtfully in the bag as well. The service was fast and professional, and the integration of the Arby's app with the service I received was outstanding.

AWESOME FOOD, REASONABLE PRICES, GREAT ONLINE INTEGRATION AND EXPERIENCE.

I went to this Arby's before and it was amazing. I'm thinking because the manager and I had no communation. I went back because the food and service was good plus they are having their 2/$6 sale. I ordered the 2/$6 beef n cheddar and an onion ring. I got to the car and thought that was pretty expensive for my food. It was $13 bucks. So I was looking at my receipt and noticed they charged me regular price for my beef n cheddars. Mind you, there is a huge sign in the window advertising these ssndwhiches. First off I had my voice box removed due to cancer so I wrote a note. The kid at the register could not read cursive.... ok. So I printed it out. Order filled. So when I go back in he said sorry nothing he can do about it I should have said I wanted the special and not just asked gor 2 beef n cheddars. Wow really. So he was upset with me and we t to the manager. The manager told him there was nothing he could do about it. I just missed out. And went back to work!!! I'm never going back there again! Ever. I went to the Arby's on Ross in August 2013. It was around 5pm and we thought the it was closed when we first got there because the doors were locked. After banging on the doors for a while the manager came and unlocked it. The door was also broken with the long metal "push bar" dangling and swing around. Very run down and dirty inside. There were several cigarette butts in the bathroom. My "sliced fresh daily" turkey was not in slices, but rather a ground up nasty, crumbly mess. The manager was talking extremely LOUD to the employees about the stock market and then had a team meeting with the employees right in the middle of the restaurant in front of where you order food. He was talking badly about other employees that weren't present in a very loud, rude, unprofessional way. The last straw was when we saw a cock roach crawling around on the wall! Wow! The manager should have done us all a favor and left the door locked...
