Bahama Buck's - Amarillo, Bell Street — Restaurant in Amarillo

Nice girls behind the counter but the place smelled like sewer water..3 teenagers walked in, went to the bathroom and walked straight out as fast as they could and were commenting loudly about how they did not want to be in that bathroom with the way it smelled. It was a permanent stink in the whole place. Old water like. Every single table was dirty and the floors too. I went to check out the area with the crayons for my kids and there was cob webs all over it. So I looked around and noticed the windows were nasty, cob webs and bugs all in the corners of them too. It wasn’t even busy in there either so really no reason for at least one employee to not come out behind the counter and clean for those of us who want to sit down. One lady started cleaning her own table and making comments about how gross it was in there for the prices that are charged. There were no napkins in any of the containers. We grabbed our baby wipes and started cleaning up our own table when we were done. (We always try our best to make less work for any waitress or anyone who may have to come clean up behind us) I actually worked this location when I was 17 and the owner at the time (a man from New York, I can’t member his name) would have had our you know what’s for allowing it to be that gross inside. I’m not sure if he’s still the owner but if he is, you might want to stop by more often and maybe take a look around. Nice employees with great personalities, but the cleanliness...

I absolutely Love Bahama Bucks and I come to this location more than I’d like to admit but tonight I had a very bad experience. The young man who was working the front. Didn’t greet me at all which I can overlook. But he asked for the a name for the order and I gave it to him then he said absolutely nothing. He just stared off into space and was adjusting his earpiece so I assumed that maybe he was listing to the order from the drive through or something then he just walked away. One of the girls in the back asked him to take my order and he said that I was on the phone( now my phone was up to my ear but since he had came to take my order I was not engaging in any conversation) I let him know that I’m waiting for him to take my order and he then clearly had an attitude I made my order and handed him my card in which he snatched. I asked him if he just snatched my card and he tried to say he didn’t I asked if there was a manager around. He stood there holding my card and I told him to just swipe the card. And this all while he standing there with very uncustomer friendly face staring at me directly in my eyes like he had a problem. I didn’t even complain to the manager I just wanted to leave. Now if I hadn’t guessed that he had to be a teenager. Things could have escalated. But I’m not sure if he was just in a bad mood or it had been a long day but I’ve never been treated like this in any establishment especially Bahama Bucks and I’m highly...

So me and my partner went to this location today around 1:30 2pm. We order 2 drinks and apon ordering at the drive thru a girl was taking our order. At first she seemed nice but my partner asked to have a flat snow coned not piled on the top and she started laughing at us. I’m not sure if she was laughing at us or her other employees but I thought that was unprofessional. We just brushed it off. The boy that served us was very nice and professional. We got our snow cones and left. I love there coconut snow cones but today something seemed off. It tasted like as if there was cleaning chemicals in the drink. Maybe they forgot to rinse the blender the use or I’m not sure but we could definitely taste cleaner in our snow cones. We visited there 2 weeks before this and could smell that cleaner as we walked in the room hence why I knew it was cleaner. So we thought nothing of it until we got home. We fell so ill with a sore stomach and spewing. This happened around 5pm. We hadn’t had anything else to eat or drink that day as my husband works nights and we wake up around mid day. I wished that there were older people there to supervise or train the teenagers that are always there or I’m hoping they have struck regulations when it comes to handling cleaning chemicals in there work place as this was a huge shame. We are not satisfied this time with the visit and probly won’t be going back there. Such a shame as there drinks...
