Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar — Restaurant in Amarillo

Usually have good experience here but today me and my friend ordered the crack and peel to share (which comes with 2 potatoes and a corn) and all we ordered extra was sausage and a side of rice. Our server misunderstood us and our boil came with 2 corns and no potatoes. We had already started eating when we noticed that we were missing the potatoes so we asked our server if we could get them since that’s what we really wanted since we don’t usually eat the corn to begin with. Our server then asked to take out the extra corn so she could take it back into the kitchen which we found really weird because we had already started eating out of our boil so we asked to speak to a manager, who then proceeded to tell us they have to do that to prove to the kitchen that we weren’t trying to get “free” food. In all actuality we just wanted what was supposed to come with the boil. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they take things out of a customers plate because of a mistake on the servers part and mostly it just seems unhygienic because do we really know if they are throwing it away. We couldn’t care less about the corn it’s just the principle of them taking something back to the kitchen that we had already...

We were just there for my aunts birthday dinner. I have never regretted to celebrate at a restaurant more than I have this one. As soon as we came in the dark skinned hostess asked “damn yall love to eat here” in a sarcastic way. So I replied of course the food is great. They sat us and the waitress was rude from the beginning, took forever with our drinks, and when she finally brought the food out she had no idea who’s was whose so we all got mixed up, then when we corrected her she charged us more on our bill for extra stuff when she was the one who did not put the order in right. She then went on to say fukkkkkkkk yall I’m tired of yall and the manager was called for. Once the manager came she acted like she had no respect and sided with the disrespectful waitress. And also kicked us out. Mind you our ticket was over $600 dollars. We were kicked out. I will never return and would advice to take your business elsewhere, they don’t care about their customers and will cuss you out to leave.. very shocked disappointed and disrespected… thank you hook n reel but your employees need...

I used to love this place but the managers are trash. The waitress brought me a mini shrimp boil when I ordered snow crab so she takes it back n just adds the snow crab so I figured she did this to not have to throw away n since it was her mistake. I ask for to go box since I didn’t eat much of the shrimp. The bill comes and they charge me for the shrimp I didn’t order. The lady manager comes n says I have to pay for it since I ate it. I told her that was her mistake n I didn’t eat much. She takes my to go food to the kitchen comes back n says since I ate 5 little shrimp I have to pay in full after they just touched it in the back counting how many was left. I was not about to pay for that so only gave me a small discount n still took my left over food away. I still had corn and potatoes I was planning on eating but nooo they took it away. I had to pay for her mistake. So unprofessional and nasty. They expected me to pay for something I didn’t order and after they touched it!! I used to love it here but the service was awful. Never again will...
