La Frontera — Restaurant in Amarillo

At first glance, I thought, “Wow, this place is cute.” It’s cozy, and the decor is nice very retro with all the Coca Cola stuff. But the food was a 4/10. I wasn’t impressed, but it was decent enough to eat. The service, was a solid 0/10. They brought us the wrong tortillas, so we asked for the correct ones, and it felt like that simple request offended them. After that, the whole vibe shifted. They didn’t check on us once after that. We sat there patiently waiting to ask for a refill, but every time we tried to call someone over, we were ignored. It got so bad that we just gave up because it was getting embarrassing. When we finished and went to the counter to pay, they were really rude and made us feel uncomfortable. We said we were splitting the bill, and for some reason, that really pissed off the ladies at the counter (same waitresses). If it was a problem, they could’ve just said so instead of acting like we were a burden. We decided not to tip because, honestly, no one even bothered to attend to us, and they were so unwelcoming. okay called in a to go order about a month ago waitress told me i had to be there by 8 because they closed at 8 i only live 2 blocks away i got there about 10 mins till 8 as i was waiting for my order at 8 pm sharp the waitress walked out of the wait station and shouted out IT'S 8 OCLOCK WE ARE CLOSED AND ITS TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME I STILL HADN'T GOTTEN MY FOOD AND PEOPLE SITTING AT TABLES HADN;T GOTTEN THEIR FOOD EITHER if it was my business she would have been fired then i have order food to go on several time and not prepared they way we order it last walk in and order was in window waitress ask if i had a to go order i said yes she went back to wait station and did nothing about my order another waitress went to wait station proceeded to fill chip in warmer drawer and cpl other things then started to finish off my order with the cold chips she just fill in the drawer oh the they took the phone off the hook so no could call and complain to MARY HAVE TO SAY WE ENDED UP WITH MUCH BETTER FOOD AND SERVIVE AT LA...

Food was okay, service was incredibly bad. Love the classic Coca Cola decorations all over the walls.

My order of carne guisada with large soft nachos was good. I love that they bring out nachos with salsa right when you sit down. After they bring out your food though they ignore you. I sat down to eat with my wife and her friend but they got my wife's order of tortillas wrong. The waitresses and server didn't come back around at all to check up on us. We didn't get refills either and we are done eating and haven't offered us our checks a whole 30 minutes later. I eventually got the servers attention and asked him for refills. He then came back to ask us what our drinks were. We told him 2 cokes and a de pepper. And he never came back! We saw everyone else getting their drinks and the waitresses being super attentive to their tables except us. I don't know why, it's our first time here but we were either straight up ignored or given an attitude when asking for our corn tortillas...
