United States Postal Service — Local services in Amarillo

There is limited access to my apartment building. We have a regular mail carrier who HAS A KEY TO THE BUILDING. For some reason they gave my package to some special deliverer who does NOT have a key. The office was closed, so the delivery failed. This deliverer then placed the package someplace where it sat for an additional 4 weekdays. Only then, did the package eventually get to the regular carrier. If they had given it to him from the start, I would have received it 4 days earlier. And yes, the package was very late.

Customer support had erroneously told me that the package had the wrong address on it, and that's why it wasn't being delivered. I received the package today; she was wrong. I suspect that she KNEW she was wrong but didn't want to be bothered with this issue.

I have set delivery instructions to not give any package of mine to anyone but our regular carrier because this isn't the first time I've gone through this. They ignore it. I don't need them to "help out" here. Maybe I'll have to refuse to buy from anyone who won't offer a UPS option. They don't have a key either, but at least they have the sense to deliver during office hours. I'm at my wit's...

Been waiting on a package that was sent by a family member so I called customer service automated of course and found out the package arrived 25 January and was pending acceptance by someone at the post office. After one hr wait on the phone I finally talked to a person who filed a claim stating that there was no reason why I hadn't received my package. So I called today and not only was it still pending acceptance but someone had called me this morning funny no missed calls. Another claim filed and if not called by Wednesday next week to call again. The 2 stars were for the two humans I talked to. So far...

Mailed a package overseas to family members. Showed the mail staff everything in the box before shipment. 2 months later, I found out customs rejected my package after a week for items in the box (mouthwash or the toy). I don’t know because no updates were given. The post office claims they tried to deliver it to me and put a note in my mail box which was never received. The slip also has my PII such as a cell phone which they refuse to call. Don’t ask me for my PII if you don’t use it! I feel the post offices in Amarillo need...
