Palace Coffee Company — Restaurant in Amarillo

I just want to say a huge thank you to the honest workers here! I live in Lubbock and was driving through town and decided to stop at Palace coffee as it’s my favorite coffee shop. Anytime we go through Amarillo we have to stop so I can get my iced honey badger latte. On this day, I decided to grab some stuff to go including a sweater and so I went to the cash register to order and somehow during the process I put down my $1500 iPad Pro. I know so stupid of me but pregnancy brain lol I got Home a few days later I went to go grab my iPad out of my backpack and realized it wasn’t there. At this point I’m thinking it’s for sure gone as it’s been a few days. I checked my find my iPad and it shows that it’s still at the coffee shop so I give them a call and to my surprise, they still have it and said that someone turned it in! I was so incredibly blown away as I 100% Just thought it would be a loss. Thank you, thank you thank you so much, Palace coffee!! You’ll never know exactly how Grateful I am. There are certain memories on this iPad that aren’t on my other Apple products I was so sad to have lost. But your workers honesty allowed me to still have them. Thank you so much for being honest and also serving up the best coffee! I will always continue to support...

Not sure what to think about my most recent visit to Palace. First of all, I really do like this place. I meet friends for coffee here usually weekly. My 11 yr old, however, likes the frappes from Roasters. So, last week when I took him to spend time with some out-of-town friends, we grabbed a frappe for him on the way, and we ordered our drinks when we arrived -- that's four Palace drinks in all. We sat down on one of the couches, and it wasn't long before one of the baristas came to tell us we couldn't have his drink in the shop, citing that it's against health code. We quietly complied, and didn't really have cause to take issue with her reasoning...except for the fact that there were several waters in the shop clearly brought in from the outside that weren't being addressed. This leads me to believe that the real problem was that we had brought in a competing local company's labeled drink. If that's the case, it seems like a matter of insecurity.

PS: This is the first and only complaint I've had with this...

I was visiting family and went to the woflin location. Oh my goodness, I had a iced coffee with lavender in it. It is a special drink and it should be a forever drink because it is heavenly. I am now back in San Antonio and craving this amazing lavender coffee. My little sister got something else and it was good too. My cousin (who lives here) is now a fan. She got a iced latte and it was so good as well. I bought a tee shirt and own a mug. I love this place and will be dropping by when we are in town. Thank you for such a wonderful place. The environment and atmosphere is amazing. The staff were a delight no matter who happened to be serving us. Yes, we went as many times as we could. My sisters and I are HUGE fans. We miss it and can’t wait to go back.

*Here to say (because of other reviews) this coffee is a different type of coffee bean. You have to get used to the taste if you are getting a black drip. I enjoy the taste because I am used to it. It is very good. It’s really nice to see a shop think...
