Whatever happened to shoe store customer service? I remember when I was a kid getting shoes the sales person would set us down and get the size and width of our feet then get the shoes from the back. When the salesperson came back they would unpack, lace up the shoe and fit it on the foot. It was nice way to make sure the shoe was a good fit and what we wanted to pay for... Recently, I was in the Redwing Shoe store in Coulter and the experience was less that enjoyable. There were several people in the store to by shoes and it took awhile to get helped all the while more people were filing in. I understand times have changed, but back to original question... What happened to shoe store customer service? The young woman helping an older customer would just get shoes from the back, chunk them down in front of the customer and just watch as he unpacked them, put them on and then she waited for approval of the shoe. If this is what she was doing, why couldn't she ask others if she could grab a shoe from the back or even have conversation with the customer she was "helping". Its just sad times realizing what we don't...

I have bought two pair of boots from here. I can't believe this place is still in business! I love the boots but they are the least friendly people I have ever done business with (especially the old man). It almost makes your feel like you are no longer in west Texas. The first pair I bought was a bad experience but I thought I'd give them one more shot. Same result except there was too rude people to have to deal with. I will never step foot in there again except to get the free laces that come with the boot purchase.

I would recommend Red Wing boots to anyone. However, I would never recommend doing business at this place...

Great customer service, they even remember your name! Great knowledge of products & helping you find exactly what you need. They listen to what you have say, what you are looking for & what you are going to use the shoes for. They have a large assortment of sizes & widths. If they don't have what you are wanting in your size, they order ight without any issues. I've been shopping at this store for 10+ years & will continue to do business with them, plus refer...
