Took my vehicle in with the oil pressure light on, they "diagnosed" it and charged me for it. I sat in their waiting room waiting the entire work day, over 6hours and they fixed what they said they thought was the problem using the exact words of "we're hoping and we think"?? Which didn't make sense to me because isn't the diagnostic machine supposed to tell the mechanic what to fix? 2days later on my son's bday the vehicle looses all oil pressure, and we are now stranded and we waited over an hour and a half after I was told the tow truck would pick up my vehicle in 30-45 min. Again with the same problem that clearly wasn't fixed the 1st time. Not only was I charged the diagnostic which failed because the problem I went in with wasn't fixed but now I was charged with the tow fee which wouldn't have happened had they fixed it right the 1st time instead of using the words, "hoping and thinking". These are supposed to be professional mechanics and if they couldn't fix the problem the 1st time. I shouldn't have been charged for the diagnostic because it didn't diagnose the problem, which the oil pressure light was already on, informing the mechanic and it didn't fix the problem the 1st time around and I shouldn't have been charged for the tow because if the problem would have been fixed the 1st time, I wouldn't have been stranded. It doesn't matter how many "religious" books you have in your waiting room. It didn't help...
Read moreMy car’s catalytic converter was broken. I told the person at the counter that the Pit Stop had diagnosed the issue and confirmed the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. However, he claimed that might not be the problem and insisted on diagnosing it again.
I arrived at this shop around 9:30 AM. After diagnosing my car, they just parked it outside and left me waiting without any updates. It wasn’t until around 1:30 PM, when I finally asked for an update, that he told me the issue was they didn’t have a lift available, so he didn’t know when they could fix my car. It became clear to me that he was intentionally stalling and wasting my time, even though I’m not local and was on a trip, needing my car repaired quickly and he knew it. The way he treated me was just awful.
Then, he gave me a ridiculous quote of around $3500. I decided not to proceed with the repair, but they still charged me a diagnostic fee for essentially the same conclusion the Pit Stop had already provided: the catalytic converter needed to be replaced.
Edited on Dec 31: The owner reached out to me and apologized on behalf of his employee. While he couldn’t change what happened, I respect the sincerity and professionalism he showed. Because of this, I decided to delete the first and last paragraphs of my original review, leaving only a record of what occurred. I've also updated my...
Read moreI brought in my 2007 Explorer because it was showing I needed to service RSC immediately and my limited mechanic knowledge could not figure it out. They ran a full diagnostic on it and codes galore showed up. I informed them what I wanted fixed as well as figuring out the RSC problem they gave me my estimate and informed me that it may take a while depending on the parts needed because delivery times and availability of some parts were all effected by COVID. They contacted me throughout the week with updates and some other concerns they had. At the end of the week I was told I could pick up my car. I was also told about their warranty on their work, and if something didn’t seem right, to bring it in immediately and they would handle it. After driving it for about an hour that RSC warning popped back up so I took it back and they checked it out. It turns out there was a leak of antifreeze right over one of the front wheels. The antifreeze was pooling on the tire sensor causing it to throw the code. They fixed the leak and got it back to me the next day. I paid out and it has been smooth driving since. I would not say it was cheap, but I feel I got what I paid for and it was quality repairs, excellent service, and people that stand behind their work. I definitely would suggest them to anyone needing automotive work done and will continue to use them...
