Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Amarillo

I love Sonic their happy hour is the bomb and I absolutely love their double meat cheese burgers with mayonnaise and I'm always served by somebody with a huge smile and a very polite attitude thank you for your number one to me Patricia Hembree. For the first time ever I had a bad experience with my favorite sonic in Amarillo first of all I ordered a large tot with my order and got a medium and I ordered a cream Dr.Pepper w/ extra cream and lots of ice and got a diet coke with light ice now tell me what would in common does the appearance of a cream Dr Pepper and diet coke have. So because of going back to make my drink order right I got to eat a cold burger and cold tots not good at all but I can forgive anything once I hope this never happens again because I am in between jobs and my money is so limited and I feel I threw $10.00 down the drain tonight and that sucks. Every time I order from this sonic my food is wrong. I came here today and tried to order 2 grilled cheeses for my kids and 3 pretzels. They couldn't hear anything I was trying to order thru the intercom. After repeating my order 3 times I got to the window and paid. I got home and didn't get one of my grilled cheese sandwiches because they never put it in the order and there was no cheese sauce for the pretzels. Who gets pretzels without cheese? I went back for the cheese and was told I had to pay for it. I was pissed because the online menu says it comes with the pretzels. I reluctantly paid for the sauces for the pretzels and they tried to give me 2 instead of 3. I didn't even bother trying to get the second grilled cheese I needed because I was done dealing with them, I went somewhere to order it. I...

If you're looking for big drinks at great prices this is the place but only between 2pm and 4pm the magical time slot they call happy hour. The wide selection of drinks available at any given time would make a convenience store jealous. Slushies, sodas, and fancy drinks galore. Not to mention the giant selection of sweets, blended ice cream, malts and shakes. The food is usually decent. They have good burgers but just about everything else is just down right greasy. In my experience they don't clean the fryers as often as they should leaving anything from the fryer tasting like, well, the burned over used grease from the fryer. The prices for food here is pretty steep too. You'll end up spending $30 dollars pretty easily to feed 3 people. There is just better...
