Starbucks — Restaurant in Amarillo

Went through the drive thru this last winter. Ordered what I usually do Java Chip frap. So I get my order and they had put cookie crumble on top or was it the last of the Java chips. I asked the female barista with long dark hair and glasses if there is wheat (I am allergic to wheat) in the drink. She didn’t go look and told me no. So, me being a trusting individual at the time, tried it and sure enough it was the cookie crumble. So I go in to tell the barista that there IS wheat in the drink. She gets angry with me and never apologizes. The manager said that he would talk with her but only excuses were made. He remade my drink. I had looked at ingredients for the drink before and never saw cookie crumble as a topping. I also found out that there is wheat as an ingredient in the Java chips. I had seen ingredients before that did not include wheat in the chips. I learned a lot that trip. I learned that I as a person with an allergy didn’t matter to Starbucks and I learned about hidden ingredients in the past. I will not utilize another starbucks in the future on principle. Every time I come to this specific Starbucks it’s never a pleasant experience. The staff seem like they do not care and just want to get rid of you. I understand they get busy and sometimes it is over whelming but a greeting would be nice. The last time that I went the guy who was handing me my drinks just opened the window looked at me said the total and handed me my drinks. Not a single greeting or have a good day when I left. They always seem so upset and bothered when I go. Instead of coming here, the one on Georgia has amazing customer service and they have better attitudes. I only buy Starbucks because I receive gift cards not because I choose to but still people should get good customer service, its not the customers fault you...

Not one smiles in that place. The atmosphere is gloomy. The lady taking my order (the one with short, multi-color highlighted hair)even seemed inconvenienced by, and even irritated with, me. She said she’d gotten to work real early. I guess the experience is about her! The last time I was there they served me a lukewarm coffee. They made a fresh pot but forgot I was waiting.
