Great bands every weekend! The staff never fails to greet you with a smile on their face, and I enjoy the fact that you don't have to wait an hour to get a drink! The sound guy doesn't try to blow the roof off of the building and we enjoy having the dance floor in front of the stage to dance and support live music on Friday and Saturday nights! Not to mention the fact that they offer an open mic night every Wednesday night open to anyone who would like to show off their talent. Many local musicians consider Whiskey River their home! Karaoke every Thursday night as well as 2 Pool Tables, Golden Tee Golf, Dart Boards and BIG Screen TV's when we want to check out a sport event without sitting at home allows a little something to entertain almost anyone! I was treated so poorly that I will NEVER go back to Whiskey River. The night started okay because I was there to support my friend for their comedy night but quickly went down hill. I got carded when I ordered a Coors. The waitress looked at my ID and told me I was not old enough (I’m 22). I asked her if my birthday was before or after their posted date of 2/7/97. She told me 1996 was after 1997. I was slightly stunned but asked her to look at the date again and she told me the same thing after which she threw my ID back at me and said “I guess your old enough.” Either way I will never be going back but I do believe everyone should be able to distinguish that 96 comes BEFORE 97. This was my first time here. I got a bloody Mary and my husband got a beer. Both for $4.50. Good price for mixed drink, ok for beer. My bloody Mary was obviously made with care and included a lime and olives!! The one bartender was very friendly. She checked on us numerous times to make sure we were ok. They have $1 pool tables and darts. They have a jutebox and live music. Small dance floor surrounded by tables. My only negative was that they do allow smoking here.
