I have to update my review on Boba Bee to a one-star review, and here is why. Tap to keep reading. Over the past two/three months we have attempted to get boba here with varying levels of success: —One of the times we drove down in the evening to get an “after our kids are in bed treat”. We opened their door to go in at about 10:05 pm only to be told by the two girls working that they are closed, unlike the other Boba Bee locations they recently changed their hours. It just wasn’t updated online yet. —Another attempt we found ourselves driving there yet again in the evening (around 9:00) only to find that they were closed due to water issues. Not their fault but still annoying as this was the second time in a row going there to get boba with no success. —Another time I went in attempting to order 2 drinks with Classic Boba Pearls and was told that they had “run out”. What sort of boba shop runs out of the one thing that you go to a boba shop for? —The last straw for me. I went to get two of our favorite drinks from boba bee last night (01/14/23). I paid for them at 9:15 and then went and stood in the corner to wait for our drinks. Another customer leaned over and essentially said, “you’re in for a long ride. I’ve been here with my friends for over 45 minutes.” I decided to wait and see if it was true. The two girls working were incredibly slow and acted like they didn’t know what they were doing. One of them spent time to put up a sign that said “we are not currently taking anymore orders! Sorry!” rather than working on making drinks. Other drinks started coming out before mine. One person requested their money back because they were trying to catch their movie at the Cinemark. A couple of customers who got their drinks before me went up and said, “these don’t have any boba in them.” Employees said, “sorry we ran out, we can put something else in them.” What?! You’re just going to not give people what they pay for and hope they don’t say anything. At this point they announced they are out of classic boba pearls, I’d been there for about 45 minutes. I walked up and said I’d take my money back. They said, “okay you want your money back for the boba pearls?” “No for everything.” They gave me my money back, apologized, and I went home having wasted yet another night at Boba Bee in American Fork.
Sorry about the long review, but you need to know what you’re walking into when you go here. A place that sells great boba but is incredibly mismanaged. They need either the owner or a higher level manager here to help run things. These high school aged girls that lollygag around have ruined this place. Make more classic boba pearls, especially if it’s a weekend.
It’s sad but unless things turn around here I cannot say that I will ever return to our once favorite boba...
Read moreFirst time customer, and last time there. I love Boba, but I've never been to a Boba place where your drink doesn't come with any Boba; you have to pay extra. Maybe that's becoming a thing, but the Boba shops I go to regularly don't charge extra to have Boba in your Boba tea. That's like going to a coffee house and your mocha doesn't come with the espresso unless you pay extra. The place isn't clean, every table was dirty and there were only 2 other people there and they had their drinks already. The staff wasn't very inviting, I felt like we were a burden by coming in (2 of us). And the atmosphere is very plain and not inviting to stay. Nothing about the dining area was enjoyable and made us want to stick around. My drink was average. I think the place has potential, especially its location next to the movie theater; but there isn't anything in my opinion that makes this place stand out. I feel like it's kind of like that one neighborhood gas station you only go to unless you...
Read moreSo disappointed! I try not to complain and I was polite. But after I left with my daughters I decided to let people know this was SO bad (I wish I looked at reviews before we came) It was just after 10 pm. Friday 8th. Thinking it was closed as ALL the chairs were upside down on the tables.. not one spot to sit!!! Nope they were open till 11! The entire time we were there we had to stand.. The teenagers were goofing off and finally decided to ask us what we wanted, they never once smiled or said thank you even after we ordered (and unfortunately gave a tip) It got worse as some of their friends came in and they helped them and chatted with them and only gave us 2 of our 3 drinks.. I politely asked for the last one as it was done but sitting for a while and I got an “eye roll” And oops “do you want me to remake it “ (not in a polite way) my daughter said it’s ok and we left! It was not a good drink and especially for the price! I hope those employees gets lesson in...
