I decided to revisit India Palace tonight, it has been many moons since I last was here, and Iam left wondering why I waited so long... Everthing was excellent, from the service to the food. I ordered Chicken Nuggets for appetizer, it took about 10 mins after that to get them. They were real chicken too! They came with chili sauce, mint chutney, and tamarind sauce, also they brought me soy sauce on the side like I asked for. I had Chili Chicken with delicious rice for entree, very tasty and well done, about 25 mins give or take after I order, so all went well. Many refills on water and Coke, also had the bread (like Pita), I cant recall what its called, also very good. I left stuffed, not sure others complaining about portion sizes? Will return! No wifi or bike racks, catering and delivery though, outdoor seating when appropriate, rebuild looks fantastic!

Firstly they were closed for dine in, so we had to takeout food. The prices were ridiculously expensive for the dishes. $5 for naan bread is crazy. The biryani had nuts and raisins in it which is weird for authentic Indian food. It was really bad and didn’t look or taste like biryani. The chicken tikka was sweet and the saag paneer was watery and bitter. The naan was ok. Over all 90 dollars. Had a bite and threw it all away, what a waste. Not worth a dime. Go to Des Moines if you’re wanting good Indian food.

We drove 40 mins for lunch but found the note that they are closed for lunch. I completely understand that they are understaffed but they should have changed the timings in the maps. The website is non functional. They should have handled it in a better way.

One of worst place I have ever been in USA taste is good but waiting time is limitless even though there is no crowd there were be just 1 or 2 tables they took minimum 50 minutes to get food. We all go to restaurant of course to eat but also spend some quality time with family but when ever we went this restaurant we ended up by quarreling because of wait and hungry kids and all we never ever go here again , one thing I notice the breads are not fresh its frozen other than tandoori roti its ok but please give food early before kids start crying and parents get frustrated. I experienced this for so many times my family loves Indian food but unfortunately this is only one Indian restaurant in Ames.and restaurant open and close times also vary always, when our in laws came here last year we went there and sit for 15 minutes and the waiter come and tell sorry kitchen closed, we went there...

I ordered more than $180 worth of food from them, and when I called to express my dissatisfaction with the biryani— which lacked flavor— the lady put me on the phone with the chef. He was very rude, saying, "I made your food. You told me not to put this or that." I explained that I specifically wanted it that way.

One of the employees even asked me if I wanted nuts in the biryani, and when I said no, he replied, "You confused me." Their communication skills with customers are terrible. When running a restaurant, they need to know how to treat customers properly. It's not their home, and they are not speaking to family members. Customers are spending money; they are not eating for free. They should first learn how to communicate and operate a restaurant business...
