I'm not one to post reviews, however after being in the industry myself and the lack luster experience during a recent breakfast outing here with my boyfriend last weekend, warented a low rating. From the first step into the restaurant, with no hostess to help ease the flow of traffic on a busy Saturday morning, I had a feeling things might be a little shaky. We proceeded to sit down and the sweet soft spoken bus boy brought us some coffee ( that tasted like Foldgers) and water. If your looking for a cappuccino- this is not the place. Very simple drinks and food. The waitress took our order, very quickly and did not return until she slammed the check on the end of the table without even saying a peep. The food was run of the mill. Nothing exciting and certainly not good enough to make up for the terrible service. When we were ready to pay, she only then asked if we needed more coffee. And at that point I couldn't stomach anymore of the dirty water taste. My boyfriend and I love to go out to breakfast and this is one restaurant we will not be returning to. There are plenty of other fabulous restaurants in nearby Newburyport with nicer wait staff, flavorful food and...
Read moreWe’ve been a few times now to Morning Buzz Café at 37 Friend St, Amesbury, MA and we love it! On this last visit, they had an incredible dish on their daily specials list: Smash Avocado Benedict with smashed avocado, poached egg, grilled tomatoes and (I know this sounds weird but it was SOOOO delicious) picked onions!!!! We couldn’t believe how good it was!! There was a little Everything Bagel spice sprinkled on top too. Just amazing!
We always split our food. We also ordered a BLT on a croissant 🥐 and a to go order (for later) of the Hash Stack Bowl and it was crazy good! You really can’t miss with the Morning Buzz. The staff is so nice, the food is terrific and the restaurant is clean and nice. It has good parking and it’s right near the lovely downtown...
Read moreI'm so glad that this business is in my town! They must work very hard to keep this place going. Tricky part is the menu online is outdated so everything has gone up in price (very understandably -- just didn't know) and after using the posted 15 minute parking outside for the pickup, I was told that this is no longer in use. Waitstaff was professional. The breakfast wrap I ordered with tomato to go, needs to be eaten immediately or will be quite soggy. But that's my bad for not eating it right away. It's so difficult to own a restaurant that I only have respect for the businesses keeping the faith and keeping the business going. These things are hit or miss and I have also had great breakfasts here as well. Thank you...
