I've visited here multiple times since this is the nearest 85° to me.
Parking: They're located in a large yet busy plaza, so finding a spot can be a hit or miss.
Ambiance/Environment: This is a large location. There's a good amount of indoor seating. It's very clean and organized.
Service: Workers can improve on efficiency and problem solving. There are times when it is slow then they'd have a sudden rush. The few times I've visited, a line starts to form as there is usually one cashier. I noticed there are other workers doing important tasks, but customers should come first (professional opinion from currently being in customer service). Other than that, the workers I've encountered are nice.
Pastries, cakes, drinks: I love their pastries. They have sweet and savory pastries. Perfect size for a snack or a light breakfast. On occasions, I'd get the Red Velvet or Classic Tiramisu cake. I appreciate that their cakes aren't too dry or overly sweet. Their milk teas are pretty basic. I prefer their coffee series. Their Vietnamese Coffee is sweet yet strong.
Pricing: Prices are fair, especially for its sizes. In terms of the pricing for the pastry's, they're cheaper compared to other major pastry shops. Pricing for cakes are what you'd...
Read moreMy daughter and I have been going to 85 on a craving basis for about two years now. We have enjoyed seeing the large selection of desserts and trying new things. We really like their Almond Crunch Croissants, they have the perfect amount of sweetness. My daughter loves the White Chocolate Strawberry Bun but we take out some of the filling sometimes as it can get too sweet. Overall, we would choose 85 as our coffee shop over Starbucks. The difference in sweetness of drinks, selection of food, and taste is crazy. If you are new, we would recommend the Strawberry Matcha Latte for matcha lovers, the Strawberry Milk Tea (my go-to), and for a hot day, the Strawberry Mango Smoothie. For cakes, we LOVE their Deluxe Strawberry Cream and Mango Creme Brûlée are a family favorite. Overall...
Read moreWe liked 85° and frequent it often over the years. Lately they resorted to prepackaged custard tarts. As a sales strategy we feel that removed one important benefit for shoppers who enjoy the see, touch and feel experience that accompanies pleasurable window shopping and the spur of the moment impulse shopping. Pre-packaged custard tarts has a take it or leave it, colder feeling of numbers, that is grab that packed item or don't grab it. We liked being able to choose, lift, turn the items. It also seems watching other shoppers, they seem to linger less at the displays. Something that seemed to occur more often in earlier days with non-boxed and prepackaged pastries. Just our opinion. Writing this in...
