I’ve been to this place multiple times since my daughter started going to school here. We have amazing Indian food in Michigan, so I have never been impressed with this place, but my daughter likes it. Today we visited, we all got different food, as we always do, and went to sit in the back of their restaurant area while we were waiting for my daughter and boyfriend’s food. A lady came and very rudely said we were not supposed to eat there because it was exclusively for their restaurant. We told her we were waiting on our daughter’s food. She then proceeded to acuse us of breaking a table because “those tables are not supposed to be moved, now you broke it”. As she was saying that, another family, Indian, came with food from another restaurant to sit next to us, they also moved two tables to be together but she chose not to say anything to them. I went out to look for my daughter, she was not responding to my message. When I came back I overheard the same lady asking a man to go ask us to leave, by then the Indian family had gotten Indian food as well. The guys said “please” but was not willing to hear our concerns that we didn’t know where our daughter was. In the end, my daughter had had a panic attack so she had gotten her burrito of tikka masala and had left to calm down. I reckon they don’t realize that a lot of the people who buy their food end up taking the tables available in front of their booth, so we didn’t have any other option, plus no one was waiting on the table anyway Again, the food has never been impressive, but now their lack of empathy, their assumptions of us being liars, and their rude tone of the woman and the man, even while using the word please, were disappointing. In my culture, the food you prepare reflects your character and attitude, now I understand why their food has never tasted good. Come to Michigan, you’ll find some of the best Indian...
Read morePlace has some decent dishes, but I do have some complaints.
I had the keema naan (5.99 stuffed with ground meat). It was pretty good, meat patty inside was fluffy and wasn't a solid brick of meat inside. I also had the goat cheese naan (5.99). Very moist and, but more slightly burnt. See the photos where it is on top of the tikka masala
I then had the lamb seekh kabab (14.49) this was the best part of the items I tried. Lemon rice was firm and had a nice citrus flavour. Kababs were moist and plenty of spices in them. I did like the mint dressing that came with the salad.
The chicken tikka masala (13.99) was the most disappointing part of the meal. It was served with basmati rice that was not too fragrant. Chicken breast was fine inside the cup: I had about seven 2 oz portions. They were pretty good and have a good neutral flavour.
The sauce on the other hand was not good for me. It was fresh yes, but was so off in flavour from most sauces I had. It was kind of watery, had way too many tomato in it and had little spices at all. I would not get this again. The photo I provided may decieve you, those have the naan on top of it. You get the side of rice and the cup of masala. That's it.
A fourth of the menu is blocked out. Please again see the photos.
My impression is that portions are a little bit small for what you pay for. If I had to go again, I would take the keema naan and the lamb seekh kabab as they have the...
Read moreWATERY! This is a word we describe the Lamb Curry after Lara, my daughter, and I tasted it. After 2 hours drove from La Jolla to Anaheim, we reached Anaheim Packing District after a horrible spring break traffic on Friday afternoon. We were exhausted, thirsty, and hungry. We had a walk in the food court, and we decided to have Fish and Fries and Indian food. We bought Chippy Fish and Fries and Lamb Curry from ADYA Fresh Indian Flavor. The Fish and Fries with ice tea is $14.xx and Lamb Curry is $15.99 both before the tax. I can't believe I ever had such bad Indian food. I always say if there is only one food that can make me be a vegetarian, it will be Indian food. ADYA was so disappointed in me. The curry was tasteless, without spice flavor, and the texture was watery. The only good point was that was hot, I mean temperature not the spicy. I went to India three times, I had more than one hundred curry in different restaurants. I have to say this was the worst curry I ever had. The curry had no sense of sticky, it dropped all the way through the rice to the bottom once you spoon the curry on top of the rice. Come on, it's not a curry. The lamb was so dry and so hard, tasteless again. I hate choosing this one. It's shameful in such a great place. Their...
