Read moreThis is one my 3 favorite Mexican places in all of SoCal (the other two are Senor Gs in Playa del Rey and Carlos' place called "Fiesta Grill" or something super-generic like that on 17th St in HB). This is not a fancy place to go on a date; it's just a hole-in-the-wall with AMAZING food!
I've gotten a bunch of items here, but the tacos are the go-to. For $2 ($2.50 for fish and $3 for shrimp) you get a heaping taco with guac, etc.
Salsa bar and chips are on point. Bonus points to mix the hot (the orange, not the red smoky chipotle) with the pico.

This place had a nasty tasting burrito (service was great and the decor was good, but that doesn’t matter to me.) The meat tasted like lamb or something and the smell turned me off.
