I used to go out to lunch a lot, and this used to be my favorite spot. I went out again for the first time in a while, and I found that byblos is now under new ownership. I asked for my favorite chicken shawarma sandwich, and I got recommended the byblos wrap (I believe) and was told I'd love it. I asked for extra garlic butter but was once again assured that it was in wrap. I wish I hadn't believed her. The byblos wrap adds French fries and cheese. They do nothing to add flavor and just take up mass in wrap. With that new mass, the garlic spread used is either spread too thin to notice or they just skimp on garlic butter in the first place, and the whole thing just tastes like bland soft fries with decent chicken and an occasional pickle. The chicken was still juicy and delicious, but not enough to offset mushy potatoes. The upsell was a bad recommendation. I also got a baklava, and it tasted dry too (all dough no honey). I don't remember ever thinking their food was dry before. I might go back someday, but it's not what it used to be imo. I ended up disassembling wrap to enjoy what I could, but it is pale in comparison to the chicken shawarma sandwich I used to recommend. Had to go back and edit my previous review from 5 to 3 stars...

My family is Lebanese on my mom's side (Zlaket family for those who are familiar with Zlaket's Market which was in Garden Grove up to a few years ago). That was run by my Uncle and Aunt Leo and Virginia Zlaket. The Zlakets are a large clan and I was fortunate to grow up within this family and also grow up on the best Lebanese/Mediterranean home style food in the world. My grandma and aunts were all amazing cooks which leads me to Byblos..
The food here is off the charts authentic and amazing. Everything on the menu is excellent but that's not why I come back time and time again necessarily. Yes, it's important but being honest there are a handful of really superb Mediterranean restaurants to choose from in the area which offer similar food options but the aspect of Byblos Mediterranean Grill which keeps me coming back is the family atmosphere and how I am treated by Rita especially. She is warm, helpful, friendly and reminds me of my favorite cousin Paula Shamoon who I adored...

Read moreByblos Grill in Anaheim is a hidden gem serving up some of the most authentic Lebanese cuisine in the area, and it’s their ONLY location—so if you’re looking to experience the real deal, this is the spot!!!!
Walking in, you’re greeted by the workers who are some of the most lovely people I’ve ever met! So knowledgeable about the menu, too - so if you’re unsure, ask! The menu offers a wide range of options, but the classic platter is a standout. It’s the perfect way to sample a bit of everything.
The salads are another highlight, especially the fattoush and mango salads. They’re fresh and packed with a medley of ingredients that are as vibrant in taste as they are in color… seriously, so photogenic, lol!
And what really sets Byblos apart are their sandwiches and the different ways you can order it. You can opt for the wrap or one of their fresh pitas - either way you’re in for a treat!
Seriously: if you’re a fan of authentic Lebanese food or just love discovering/supporting great local eats, Byblos Grill should be at the top of your list. The owner has a commitment to homemade dishes and truly authentic flavors… it’s no wonder this place is quickly becoming a...
