Huckleberry Pond — Attraction in Anaheim

Im sorry but me and my kid love it . But the fact that it was a "cat fish " pond was a total never return experiance . Most cat fish are going to be big and weight a good amount . And i just miss the trout pond they had in mt baldy when i was a kid. . Nothing wrong with the place . Or anything but no where in any article . We drove a long way to this place and promised my son he could fish a lot of trout for the long weekend. According to Yelp, it is open till 3pm today. But it was closed when we arrived before 1pm. Tiny man made pond. Can cast max 10 ft because it's tiny and crowded. Came on a Saturday and a bunch of people sitting around with their poles and no fish caught all hour; so it's boring for kids. Also, no catch and release. If you catch, it's $10 per pound so costs can really add up despite it being advertised as family friendly cheap fun. Also advertised is free mining for gemstones.
