Jacks is my fav, Iโve gotten a chicken sandwich on sourdough bread with American cheese and bacon since I was a kid. The chicken sandwiches at jacks are superior- BUT, this review is more on this location than it is on jacks as a whole. The staff was decent, at least who was at the window was ok. He didnโt seem excited or anything but who does at a window at midnight. We got a sprite that seemed to be low on syrup so we asked to swap it for a Dr Pepper and when we did it also tasted low on syrup so their machine might not be very great. I got my usual chicken sandwich as stated above with a medium fry on the side. When I got home about 10 min away the fries were so cold they were shriveled and wrinkly, like theyโd been cooked for over an hour before I got themโฆ and my chicken sandwich seemed ok until I took a bite and realized it was everything I asked for but the patty was a beef patty??? For burgers??? That was a first for me. Thereโs always room for mistakes, Iโve worked windows In my time too- but there was just a lot of strikes on this one. I was already home and have an early flight tomorrow so wasnโt about to go back just to throw a fit at the window, so I ate it. And it was pretty disgusting like I figured itโd be. Anyway, first and last time at this location again just in fear that this kind of neglect over pricy fast food could...
ย ย ย Read moreIt might just be this Anaheim location, but the food has gone down hill from even a year ago. What is worse, is that it is more expensive now. The extra expense does NOT mirror the food's quality. JITB used to have decent food at good prices. It no longer has that. Even McDonalds gives you a drink ANY size for $1.00. JITB food is now a lower quality than McDonalds, but just as expensive. Most of it's cheap items are gone. If you order a small drink, it is slightly bigger than a Dixie Cup. Of course, the convenience of re-fills from a dispenser is also gone. This may be because of Covid, but the subtle effect is that people order larger drinks (which cost extra) as to not incur the inconvenience of asking for a refill. (not sure if refills are even allowed anymore here) One more thing, for those with EBT, be aware: you not only need EBT (even though a big sign on a wall advertises that EBT is accepted) but you need to be on an EBT Hot Food program. Something they don't tell you until AFTER you are shamed and humiliated when your EBT card is declined. JITB was never stellar food, but it was comfort food when you had that craving. Now the rising prices have killed the comfort and my will to...
ย ย ย Read moreSame order for #4 combo, but the cashier was so stingy of napkins.
Went by yesterday Feb. 11, 2022 to give it another try. First of all the menu changed the order, and the price "Jacked up almost $1 more" from $7.42 to $8.39. I confronted the cashier and gave him the couples of days old receipt I bought from a location in Buena Park. His reply was different location, different price. I agreed, the price could be varied from one location to another, but this is outrageous! It's $1 more. Secondly, he gave me only 2 napkins. I asked for more, and when I opened the bag all napkins were crumbled, just like trash. This is an exceptable! I definitely not going back there. I hope everyone reading this would stay far away from...
