Brookhurst Plaza Inn — Hotel in Anaheim

Check in was a nightmare! We arrived at 4 am and the number one reason we booked this hotel is because it said from desk was 24/7. We arrived and no one was opening the door to check in, mind you we had already booked for 2 nights online! It took us 14 calls (to which none were answered), knocking and ringing the door bell as well as honking the car for 40 minutes! We were extremely tired and all we wanted was to get checked in and go to sleep! We needed to use the restroom after a very long trip and we had to drive to a gas station since nobody opened the door for us! We genuinely thought we were going to have to sleep in our car. After 40 minutes the lady finally came to the door and as she was checking in we were explaining how frustrating it was and all she said was “I was on my break” “I don’t know why I didn’t hear you” I totally get it staff need breaks but I highly recommend staff to at least leave a sign on the door so that people know what time they are back so that people don’t think they aren’t going to get checked in until next morning! Of the money wasn’t already taken from our bank account and if it was refundable we would have left to another place. Otherwise, room was as expected and cleaned! Our whole room was absolutely disgusting. There were mystery hairs everywhere. Crusty stuff in our beds. They actually yelled at us for asking for new sheets. When they finally brought us new sheets an hour later they were wet? They also yelled at us for complaining about finding a condom in the bed. A USED CONDOM. He wanted to come inspect it. He picked up my friends soda can and used it to get the condom in the trash in our room. THE CONDOM WAS STILL IN OUR ROOM HAHA. We asked them if they even clean the rooms after someone stays there and he said "Sometimes." I was really scared to even have my feet touch the floor because there were stains everywhere. I would have slept in my car if there wasn't a bunch of drunks in the parking lot. Maybe they were crackheads. We were told we would get a refund when the "manager" got there at 7am. Stayed in the hotel the other night an it was the worst experience I've ever had. My girlfriend, friend and I shared a room. When we got in the room my friend opened his bed to find the sheets were soiled. My girlfriend and I opened our sheets to find a used condom. We called the desk and a man named Steve answered. I explained to him the situation and he said "what do you want me to do about it?" After hour of arguing we finally got him to deliver us sheets in which he didn't even put on the bed or us. He said talk to manager in morning for refund. In the morning we spoke with the manager female named Kelly and explained to he the situation. She went nuts! Said we were lying and wouldn't refund us and called the cops on us. Cops came by were nice, actually tried to help us out and get a corporate number.
