This restaurant is tucked away at the back of a strip mall. It doesn't look like much when you first park in the parking lot. We actually almost turned around. If it weren't for all the great Yelp reviews we probably would have. Once you get into the patio area, you can see that this place is different from what you may have been expecting from the parking lot. Inside there's a small seating area and an order window. We ended up ordering a chicken plate and a chicken wrap. We opted to get the free cucumber infused water and go sit on the patio. The patio is very cute. Lots of shade, plants everywhere and a little fountain off to the side. You forget you're in Anaheim. The patio actually reminds me of this empanada spot in Santa Barbara that I love. It's just very chill and makes you comfortable here. The staff was very welcoming also.
When they brought the food out we were caught off guard by how much food you get for the price. Everything has definitely gone up price wise out in the world but you definitely get a ton of food for what you pay here. So worth it! If I had to sum up the food in one word it would be amazing. We were blown away by the food. Everything was so flavorful and beautiful looking. I loved everything on my plate and that says a lot because I can sometimes be a picky eater. We were looking for a new go-to Mediterranean spot close to home and this place is it. Our previous favorite spot went under during the pandemic. I can't wait to come back again and try something different.
The only negatives for me were that they don't have chicken shawarma or tabouli. Those are my favorites. The other negative is that we didn't love their baklava. I've tried quite a bit of it so I think I have a good gauge for what's good at this point. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing like the rest of their food is.

Read moreAbsolutely fantastic, can't beat the price with a stick! I got the Chicken with Pine nuts over hummos and it was about an 8 oz chopped chicken serving, grilled with the pine nuts cut in slivers coated with Mediterranean spices, absolutely delicious! then the entire plate was surrounded with about a pound of fresh made hummus! an inch thick, inch tall ring, all the way around the plate and some paprika sprinkled on the hummus. Also included were 5 fresh baked today pita breads, half a tomato sliced, a sliced sweet pickle, and a quarter of a white onion.
While I was eating, the owner came out to check on me and to start up some light conversation (I was busy shoving the food in my mouth!! so hard for me to talk back). He found out I had never been there before and about 8 minutes later showed up at my table with a couple of fresh made falafels at no charge! He is famous for his falafels, and I will be going back tomorrow just to eat more of them. You can buy his falafels in a freezer box to take home and cook yourself (like something you'd get at the grocery store). If I wasn't visiting from the other side of the country I'd be taking some home, often.
I cannot recommend a place any better than here, the owner was really nice and gave the small restaurant a very friendly and personal touch.
Be sure to go to the website, not much there, but he has scanned in his entire menu, although some of the prices are out of date (the yogurt drink is now $2), the hummos-chicken-pine-nuts is still $9.99 and worth almost twice that, I could not finish it all and had not eaten in 8 hours when I got there. Also the food was cooked quickly, I only waited about 8 minutes +/-. only con to the visit would be lack of space for large parties (about 8 table for 4 people and a couple of outside seats) and the beverages are all...
Read moreROBBERY. This was my favorite Mediterranean food Ive ever had… I’m a returning customer who treats everyone with kindness and respect.
I came yesterday and ordered 2 combo plates with FRIES. When our food came we had gotten RICE instead , us being the kind people we are , we didn’t bother the staff to get us FRIES instead of RICE … instead I decided to wait in line again , ordered a side of fries . The lady noticed we had ordered food so she told the staff to bring us fries immediately.
We ate and waited for about half hour , no fries . By this time we basically finished our food and they were starting to close , I went up to the cashier and the lady just stood there looking at me confused until I told her about my fries . Then she said “ohhh , they didn’t bring them to you ?” And I said “ahaha no they didn’t maam” with a smile on my face. This lady kept staring at me with a mean face until she finally said “do you want your fries or do you want refund”
I noticed they closed the kitchen so I had no choice but to pick refund. I say “thank you guy very much” and wave to everyone as I’m heading out….. and the lady tells me “you don’t trust me?!” And I turn around in confusion , and she tells me to come look at the screen . I stood there for a cool 3 mins waiting for this lady to show me what she wanted to show me , until I realized this lady was straight playing me like a fool…. I walked out and left , trusting the ladies word. I still haven’t gotten refunded. I feel cheated by these people. THIS is how they treat people who love them...
