King’s Donuts — Restaurant in Anaheim

My husband patronize this shop and recommended it to me. He said the owners are friendly and courteous to him. Went there this morning @ 6:30am to buy a dozen donuts. The owner (grumpy old man) was rude. I told him I want 3 donuts of each kind that I chose but he had an attitude. Either I choose assorted or let him do the picking. He said that if I will be the one to choose, it will only make him confused. Since I'm in a hurry, I just let him pick the donuts. Now, I used to work in a donut shop before and I know where to place the new ones. He took the donuts the ones near him, which means those donuts he was giving me was from yesterday. The new donuts are near the glass window. He also gave me smaller donuts which I know for sure were also from yesterday. As he was putting the donuts in the box, he was grumpy and I reminded him not to forget the 2 apple fritters, too. "I know. I know.", he said. Time for me to pay. The total was $26.45. Gave him $40. I didnt count the change when he handed it to me which is supposed to be $13.55. When I got to work, I brought the change out of my bag to put it in my wallet but all I saw was $3.55. That old grumpy old man shortchanged me of $10. I was so pissed that I told my husband that the owner is rude and has shortchanged me. I wont be coming there...

My first time here. I walk in the door at 10:30 am and see a lady siting down on her phoneShe looks up and continued what she was doing in her phone. I looked for what I wanted she did not say one word. No merd no greet no nothing. She gets up and then says hi. I placed my order and ate there.Now everyone else that came in she's smiling and greeting they seemed familiar with each other and that's great but I am a new face I don't know the area but I came to patronize your company and did not feel welcome. I should have walked out but me being a manager for 13 years wanted to be sure that she wasn't just rude but that something else was the issue. She needs to be told and if she may or may not be the owner that her customer service should be great to everyone that walks through that door no matter what her personal issue is...

Donuts are super delicious here. My son's favorite is the Chocolate bar with the chocolate chips on the top because it also has a chocolate filling. This donut shop is pricier than the ones we go to in Torrance but we needed to find one in Anaheim so we didn't have to drive to Torrance for donuts. This place is just as delicious and we are glad to have found it. Drinks are very pricey here too. Not the cleanliest either and the Asian couple did not care when we requested for wipes to clean the table off. Bring your own...
