Save your money and go to Cane’s right across the street!

My wife and I were very excited to try this as we love some of the other restaurants that this restaurant group owns. However we were pretty disappointed.

The chicken tenders are more like nubs or slightly bigger than nuggets as they are barely bigger than the size of their fries. They had a good fresh taste though. I will give them credit there, but so do the other chicken tender restaurants.

The fries were average. They had some sort of garlic parmesan topping to them, which was different, but overall the fries didn’t taste great or horrible in my opinion; just average.

CityBird is also more expensive than Cane’s and other chicken tender restaurants like Slim Chickens and Guthrie’s. My wife and I split the 8 tender and fries meal, which was $11.49 plus tax. The meal did not include a drink, and CityBird does not offer a garlic toast like most other chicken tender restaurants do. Like the other restaurants it did come with 2 sauces though.

At Cane’s we usually get the Candiac Combo which is around $10 - $11, and that comes with 6 tenders (normal size), fries, 2 pieces of garlic toast, 2 sauces, and a drink. So a lot more bang for your buck than CityBird offers.

I did like the fact that CityBird offered more sauces and they are made in-house, but I come to a chicken tender restaurant for the chicken not the sauces.

We will stick with Cane’s or make the drive to Slim...

City Bird has THE best and only authentic tenders in town. These are still the real deal, tenderloins, the rare and precious piece out of the center of a chicken breast. Other places cut strips from very large tougher chicken breasts and call them "tenders," but they aren't really tenders! City Bird starts with these perfect fresh cuts, brines and spices, dredges and fries, and serves them with your choice of sauces. There's a sauce to suit every taste, but these tenders are perfection unsauced, just enough seasoning to enhance their flavor. The fries are a masterpiece, with parmesan and parsley, good enough that others try to replicate them. We also enjoy the slaw, dominantly purple cabbage, with green cabbage and carrot in a light sauce with celery seed. We have eaten here dozens of times and have never had a bad bite. They could teach a Master Class in Chicken Tender preparation. Each time we eat here, we still look forward to returning for this delicious...

Always been a fan of the tenders and City Bird. Stopped in this location for the first time today.

This review is specifically for the person that helped me today (2/8/24).

I came in around 2pm, walked in, no drive thru. Ordered and paid two different ways. The guy that helped me was amazing. Didn't question or have any bad body language with two different payments. Super kind and polite, really looked like he enjoyed working there. Gave me something I forgot about and then personally delivered my food to me taking care of any extra effort on my part. I love a great experience like that especially from a more casual restaurant.

I wish I got a survey, working and having worked in corporate and retail settings I know the importance of a 10 on a survey 🙄. If there is any leadership or owners of this store that knows this employee. He was hands down fantastic and made a random experience, a great experience!! Please pass along and let's show praise to the...

City Bird Is outstanding! Let me say 1 thing TENDER TENDERS! the tenders are so tender that they squish like the sandwich bun... it must be due to the brine process. The Seoul Sandwich is delicious combination of everything to make your mouth feel like it's smiling while eating... The Fries are just plain friggin awesome "crisp salty seasoned lightly" as for sauce we had 3 and of the 3 the hot honey was a stand out because most hot honey just tastes like added hot sauce.... Not this hot honey it was deep warm and lightly sweet without being thick. The only thing was I should have ordered a larger portion. Outstanding place and if your going to Raising canes across the street your missing out... cause Citybird has so much more flavor... it frankly blew all Other tender places out of the water.

I want to start with the positives by saying the chicken is some of the best tasting fast food chicken I've ever had. Incredibly flavorful and seasoned beautifully. The salad was a great size and super yummy. However, the tenders are ridiculously small. I have small hands, and they didn't even cover my palm. I included photos of the biggest and the smallest. I couldn't believe the smallest was counted as a tender. I also paid extra for hot honey, only for none of our sauces to be in our bag. I was so excited to try this, but I can't justify spending $18 on it again.
