I typically speak highly of this Kroger but there’s been some sketchy “errors” of late, conveniently placed, higher priced items in the place where lower priced products should be. If not caught, you’re paying way more than you thought you were. This photo was taken 9/10/24, note the Private Selection cocktail cherries that rang up for $12.99 set in the area for the Filthy brand cherries that are only $5.99, which they haven’t had in stock for months. Be careful folks, pay attention, lots of examples such as this.

Giant Kroger . The prices are giant sometimes too. Nah for real tho i went in there and there’s like live music and a bar, ok it’s like a mini city I’m thinking what ever happened to the marketplace of olde….. anyway snapBACK to reality they have those fridges that scan your face and collect biometric data without consent : (( those ones with the screens. Anyways, besides that , nice Kroger with SHUSHI and lotsa options

I visit this store every week. But yesterday it was my first time to be there for wine tasting. And it turned to the amazing time with amazing people. Sarah, bartender, was such a sweetheart! She took care about everybody and made sure we were happy. Also Kroger chef cooks different appetizers each Friday. Yesterday we had salmon rolls. I had wonderful time. Thank you Kroger!

In April I had purchased $100 Visa giftcards, one of which did not work. I called VISA customer service and was told $100 was loaded onto the card but the card was not activated at the register. I had to go back to Kroger to get it activated. I kept the receipt and decided to deal with it when I got back in town. I took the card and my receipt to Kroger where I literally received the worst customer service of my life. In the end I was issued a new $100 gift card, but Jessey, Nick and Jenny were rude, they embarrassed me and they were incredibly disrespectful. They acted like I was trying to scam them.

Here's what happened: Jessey is at the desk. I explained the gift card issue and handed her the card and my receipt. Not so nicely she said she needed the little receipt that also prints out at the time of purchase after activation. I explained again that the activation never happened and I only have this reciept. She kept asking for them despite my explanation. She eventually walks over to Nick and Jenny to ask them for help. She comes back, "We just called the number on the card and it says there's $100 on the card so..." I asked if she had called the automated line to get the balance and she said they did. I then asked her if she could please call VISA and speak to a person so they could explain what I had been trying to tell her. She told me to hang on and walked back over to Nick and Jenny. After a minute or two Nick comes over w/Jenny and yells "Ma'am what is it that you need to buy?!" I said "I just needed my card activated." While pointing to the candy aisle he says real loud "I will walk all the way over there myself to get you your KitKat bar just to prove your card works. It's already activated!" I was mortified at this point. The KitKat comment was a dig at my weight. This was all going on in front of very busy checkout lines. But $100 is a lot of money so I asked him to please call VISA. Instead he rudely says "Watch! I'm going to charge $1, which I WILL refund you!" He swipes it and its DECLINED. He suddenly becomes very polite and tells the others that yes there's definitely an issue. While he's calling people to help, without saying anything, I begin to write down their names. I looked at Jessey's name tag to verify the spelling and Jenny who was next to her thought I was looking at her name and yells at me, "Its Jenny!" Wow. Not once did I lose my temper. Not once was I rude or disrespectful in any way and this is how I am treated? Because of a computer glitch, I was humiliated and treated like trash? Not one person apologized. Nick apologized to me for having to wait while he was on the phone trying to fix things. My response, "I'm not upset about the wait, I'm upset about how I was treated before you guys figured out that I wasn't lying." They replaced the card and I left feeling horrible. Nobody should ever be treated like that. Contacted corporate and was told to be assured that the appropriate conversations will take place. Sorry, not...

Too many Kroger's around this area treat customers terribly! One too many times I've been stalked like I'm stealing or something. Watched over at the register. I even saw another comment about it happening to another lady at the Eastgate location. She thought it was bc they were black and was racially profiled. That's not true! What IS true is that your profiled if you don't look like a white yuppie. Yes I'm saying it. It's TRUE! 3, THREE stores this has happened to me! The latest incident was my last at Eastgate Kroger something different. But there's often always an issue. At Wooster location I literally watched the checkout lady not be around, not state down the last who looked like she a lot of money. When it was my turn everything changed. I took even asked why she was staring me down . It was so uncomfortable. This location I was stopped at the door wrongfully and never received an apology. I was told it was bc an employee didn't know if the lady at the register scanned something or not. (Bit more to that story). Point being is I've been harassed over and over by Krogers employees. Treated so unfairly and all I've done is spend money just like anybody else. It's really upset me several times. If you call corporate, they say you'll get a call back but you don't. They don't care. It's one thing to watch your store but it's another to harass ppl to the point of no return. It really makes ppl feel less than. Thanks Kroger! Anderson, Eastgate and Wooster Pike! 3 stores ! It's a system wide issue it seems. I guess I need to change who I am and look like someone else in order to please them enough to not have this happen repeatedly!shame on you Kroger! You teach your staff this, you'll pretend that's not the case. I've decided that this needs to really be looked into. If corporate isn't going to do anything about it, then u leave ppl with no other option but to make it publicly known, & no not just through a google review. I wonder if channel 9 would...

Today I found several “buy 1 get 1 free” options items at the Anderson Kroger. These are items which have doubled in price over the past couple of months so I wanted to go ahead and stock up. When the self scan did not ring up properly, charging full price, I attempted to seek help from the self scan attendant. I assured him that there are several tags indicating that the items were marked this way, but he insisted I was wrong and wouldn’t price adjust. So I said I didn’t want any of these items. He wasn’t very friendly to begin with, and once I had him voiding items, he got increasingly frustrated and was voiding the wrong items. The register kept crashing as soon as he would walk away. And then I saw him helping folks who weren’t even in line yet when I began scanning ten minutes prior rather than actually fixing the issue with the machine I was on. When he finally came back I told him the machine had crashed and he basically told me it was my fault, punched in a code and walked away rather rudely. I’ve used self scan hundreds of times and never encountered these kinds of issues. I swiped my card, entered my pin and the machine acted like it was waiting to print my receipt. The screen went black and the attendant proceeded to help everyone around me rather than resolving my issues. I was in self scan for twice as long as it took me to shop for $80 worth of items. Becoming more and more frustrated myself, I walked over to a young man who was chatting with another employee and told him the machine crashed before my receipt printed. Not knowing what to do, he asked me to hold on. I told him I didn’t need the receipt and left. This was the single worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. BRING BACK ACTUAL CASHIERS AND PAY THEM WHAT THEYRE WORTH KROGER! Instead of racking up record profits year after year. I welcome the chance to...
