Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Anderson

Listen, there are 3 main components that make up a pizza: dough, sauce, and cheese. If a pizza doesn't have sauce then it's cheese bread. I've been a chef and restaurant manager for over 20 years. I cooked next to iron chef Michael Symon for Christ sakes. What I got was nasty cheese bread with cheese that looked and tasted fake, canned mushrooms that were rubbery, and all the bitter browning core of the lettuce. They were missing part of our order shout out to the Dasher for catching it but our ready food was held under a heat lamp for 30 minutes while they made the missing food. Most of my food went to the dogs and they acted like they didn't want it. It's laziness. Sliced tomatoes don't go on a salad okay especially a family size that can't be split. I don't want to cut up my salad you're the restaurant. I've been back in Indiana since 2011 and have yet to find a pizza place that makes truly good simple pizza. Pizza is simple and elegant bread ( dough ) sauce and cheese. 120 dollars for cold, old, dry pizza, and a salad that consisted of browning core. If that's not customer service idk what is. I could come there and make pizza all day 100x better hands down and it's not a bluff. Dough, sauce, and cheese if it's not all 3 it's not pizza. The couple bites that did have sauce only near the crust wasn't bad so at least I got to eat pizza crust. I ran the kitchen at Oakley brothers until they did me dirty. I'm the one who put Nachos, wraps, smoked hog smash burger, spinach bacon Alfredo pizza, classic smash burger, started the no meat fryer, improved the tenderloins, onion rings, fish and chips, chicken fingers, and all that after Phillip left. My wife was right there with me .Now they're dead almost always but hey what do I know. I also saved B squared bar and grill in brownsburg from closing down as well with my wife right there with me. I ordered my pizza at 7:55 so I went to pick it up at the time they said it would be done which was 8:11. I went into family video so I could look at movies in case the pizza wasn't done. I went up to the pick-up window and I could not see anyone in the back so I rang the bell. About 5 minutes passed and I did not see anyone so I rang the bell again. Another 2 minutes passed and finally I saw someone emerge from the back to help a customer at the Marco's front desk. The employee was very rude to the customer and even cursed at him before he eventually left. The employee then said to the customer, I f*** hate when they do that and motioned to me. He then came up to me and asked, "what do you want? I will be with you in a minute." I told him that I was there for a pick-up and he said that it wasn't ready and went to the back and started slamming things around. I also heard him say that he had already put in his 2 weeks notice and that he didn't give a s about this job. About 20 more minutes passed and the pizza was still not ready so I gave up on the place and left. Will not ever be going back to...

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! My boyfriend and I placed our order online. Went into the video store to pick out a movie with our pizza, while we were at the window in the video store we saw 1 guy yelling at a couple at the service counter, as they walked away he yelled and cussed about them not understanding something. He looked right at us and yelled "one minute!" So we waited patiently but then he slams 2 pizza's on the counter and points right at us while talking to someone out of our view and yells "man I f*** hate when they do that!" And stomps over and says "what?" We let him know we are just picking up and he tells us it's not ready... 30 minutes pass and we still don't have our pizza so we left without our pizza, our movie or a refund. We will NOT be going back!!! ***edit. the manager contacted my boyfriend and apologized and gave us the order we placed, the staff was much nicer and service was quick!
