My friends, fiance, and I went out for a late lunch and drinks and decided to visit a new place, Napper Tandy's. It's a well put together Irish pub with a modern take that comes across honest and traditional without leaning heavily on classic stereotypes. We were seated immediately and seen immediately by a wonderful waitress named Lexi. She got out drinks, came back for beverages after a respectful time, and really helped out with our friend with dietary restrictions due to a lack of allergen menu. The appetizers, pretzels with beer cheese and mustard, came quickly and definitely impressed. The dough was fresh and piping hot, not too salty, and the dips were phenomenal. The mustard was perfectly spicy and tangy while the cheese was soft and flavorful, and stuck to the pretzel well. I had the Pub Steak Sandwich with the kettle chips and it was amazing; the beef wasn't tough and had a rich, savory marinade that accompanied the cheese, mushrooms, and bread perfectly. The chips were thick cut and freshly fried with an aggressive dry rub seasoning that complimented the sandwich and my drink fantastically. Everyone else enjoyed their food, including a perfectly mid-rare burger, soft yet crispy fries, and great onion rings. The cocktails were strong, well thought out, and masterfully prepared. Overall service from the host and other wait staff was friendly, and Lexi was amazing. A perfect visit, and definitely worth the 30 minute drive on a more regular basis!

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever had. Waitress brought the appetizer and entrees at the same time. Two of us ordered salad with our meal and we had to ask for salad dressing 3 times and she brings me salad dressing that is dated 3/27. Today is 4/30. Then we had to ask a server for silverware so she brings 2 rolled silverware and 2 forks for 4 people. After 20 minutes of trying to get our waitress attention for drink refills I call the restaurant and ask for the manager only to be told he was busy. Not sure which guy it was but busy should not be standing at the bar with a cell phone in his hand. So I told whoever was on the phone to ask our server if she could stop socializing and refill our drinks. So she comes to the table with our check. They were not short staffed by any means in the front of the house with a minimum of 3 servers standing around yapping the whole time we were there. The food was ok but they also tack on a 3% service fee if you pay with a card. If I drop $100 at your restaurant you should have your staff in line and drop the service charge. You are not a gas station.

We have eaten here many times and always had great experiences with great food! Tonight was not one of those great times. Our waitress was not very friendly, never checked to see if we needed more drinks, never brought extra napkins when asked. Our food had great flavor but was cold when we received it. I could see into the kitchen from our table and our food sat for 5+ minutes before being served by a different server. Our waitress continuously sat down at an empty table in between checking on other tables. A table next to us, with a different server, was seated 15 minutes after our order was placed and yet got their food well before we did. I had to ask a different server for a drink refill. Tonight was not a good experience. Picture of our waitress, Christina R. (name on the receipt) during one of her many sit down breaks.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a " Irish Pub " near our home.

Seated very quickly. Server was Sweet and Friendly.

We chatted a bit before placing our Drink orders..

She informed me ..the OWNER.. is from Ireland, as is the Bar Manager

OUT of RESPECT

aka " Black & Tan " I had to, translate this...to Our Server..as it was obvious She had NO CLUE what a " Half & Half " meant.

No Biggie...so I thought.

She thought I was ordering a Iced Tea. .

Me Bride..spoke up, and said.. "No..its BEER"

Update: 6/9/25 I placed an order over the phone for a Ruben classic sandwich $12 and chicken tenders $9. They tried to charge me for an Ruben melt which is $16 and I showed them their prices on their website. Claire told the young lady to tell me it’s their in house prices, like lady what!? At this point take the Ruben off just for the principal of up charge and update you website if the prices are incorrect . The tenders are supposed to come with 6 and they only gave me 5 and they were also over cooked. I went back in and informed the young lady at the check-in. They lacked hospitality and good customer service skills. They didn’t look at their menu or offer a solution.

Old post 2yrs ago: I like the fact they are downtown not far from my house and open on Sundays. Good customer service and friendly environment. What I didn’t like is the food. I wasn’t impressed with the Philly rolls and my burger didn’t come out the way that I wanted it. I ordered at the bar to go or I would have addressed it then. The burger was over cooked. I asked my medium well and all I can taste is char. I also asked for ketchup and mayo but it wasn’t on the burger. Beer on tap was good. I will give it a second go around and see...
