Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Ankeny

I've never been more uncomfortable in a restaurant environment. Not only did the older woman there make me feel like I was the greatest inconvenience, she was also really rude and unprofessional. I have never been to a Jersey Mike's before and I didn't know that I was supposed to take the piece of paper that she slapped on top of the meat cooler, with me to the front. She was hostile when asking any questions while ordering. She was blatantly impatient despite the fact that I think I was being pretty fast while ordering. She was also scorning employees in front of all the customers there. I wouldn't be surprised if this location has a hard time keeping employees because of her, as someone who has worked in many restaurants and still do... I was shocked to see her behavior towards the guys there. Absolutely despicable. I think it would be a much better environment without her there. It's like I could see her crushing the light in the employees eyes as they were being ridiculed, they wouldn't even make eye contact while talking to me after...

I went in to Jersey Mikes today at the Ankeny, IA location- I don’t typically leave reviews but today I was absolutely disgusted. I spent $46 (with leaving a tip) on 3 regular sandwiches, 3 fountain drinks and 2 bags of chips. I was getting my Grandma lunch and wanted to get her unsweetened ice tea vs a soda- as I was getting ice, I noticed the iced tea brewing machine didn’t have a lid on it- the tea was brewed and full to the top- it was just exposed to everything. I could have stuck my hands in the tea if I wanted to. I asked the lady working if it was fresh or what was going on with the tea and that I thought it was gross it didn’t have a lid, and let her know the entire container of tea was uncovered, she said it had been like since this morning because the lid was dirty and she was needing to get it washed- meanwhile this was 2PM. So today you served iced tea that was not being properly...

We have eaten/ordered from this location many times since it is so close to our house. We never order anything custom, just the regular options. Almost every single time our order is not correct or we are missing sandwiches, which we now always check before leaving.

Typically I give people the benefit of the doubt and understand that people have bad days. However, we have encountered the same extremely rude employee multiple times. Working in customer service you need to have a friendly personality and this woman named Michelle, is terrible each time we have been here. Tonight our order was over 30 minutes late (we made it online) stating "if its not up here its not done!" and proceeded to snap at multiple customers and employees. This is completely unacceptable.
