KFC — Restaurant in Ankeny

I picked up a delivery from this location. I really appreciate the accurate communication! They said it would be 5min for my order and it was 5 minutes or close enough to their suggested time.

This needs to be said; To all restaurants that use platform delivery drivers ☝️ please don't underestimate the time of pickup . If you're 15 minutes or 30 mins behind don't say, it'll be ready in 5! That creates false expectations for your drivers that are delivering your food on an order the customer has already placed and paid for. Ahead of anyone else in the drive thru or lobby. Unless the driver is there early. You can always ask the driver what time they have on their phone for pickup. If they don't like that time frame they can always unassign , another driver will be sent out immediately. This should never be personal. It can certainly get frustrating on both ends !

Tip for customers using platform delivery services if you tip well on the app. your order won't get passed up by drivers, it'll get delivered much more quickly😉 Let's all do our part to help things run more smoothly & give more benefit of the doubt than doubt I'll benefit 🙃🙂 Thanks for...

Today, Sunday 9 Oct 2022. I asked for a 16 pc bocke, crispy, meal. $53+. They had me wait 40 mins for it. Came back 35 mins layer to pick it up. It was cold. I am not sure if this place is under new management, but judging by the last few visits, the customer service has gone down hill. Based on my last 3 visits to this KFC, I am not sure if I will risk making the trip to Ankeny for KFC in the future.

Asking for exact change. Denying all dark, etc Not the KFC I remember. Is any one else been treated with arrogance or shabi here? It might be just me, but today, after waiting for an order of "16 piece bucket meal" for 35 mins, the chicken was COLD!

Or so it appeared... Now its Monday 10. Oct 2022. The next day. I am sorry to notice that what I believed to being "Cold" chicken I was given yesterday was not just cold but stail. They gave me a 16 piece bucket of day old chicken on the meal, for the full prize of a 16 bucket meal with hot, freshly fried chicken. In addition to this grave insult: They did not give me butter not Honey or jelly for the 6 biscuits...

It is too bad there is no other KFC...

Countless times I’ve hoped they’d do better but never do. Most fast food batting average is like 80% at kfc it’s closer to like 30%. Soggy, fatty tenders. Overcooked and simultaneously undercooked Mac somehow. Never gotten a fresh Mac once in years from here.

But forget all that and imagine Pepsi Co partners the best holiday soda to kfc and that’s all you want. You ask for it no ice, only to 7/10 times still be handed a cup half full of ice…it’s no wonder I said “no ice” huh?…THEY roll their eyes at YOU like it’s your fault they can’t do their job right. You finally get your drink and what’s this? It’s a grenadine drink! Oh well they definitely atleast mix it right for Pepsi Co to entrust this rollout right? No…it all sits at the bottom, unmixed, bland starry floating on top a river of cranberry grenadine…time…and time…and time again….its just a drink, so I really need to show your employees how to firstly make a drink and secondly act?

It sucks so bad Pepsi Co did this. I just want my damn Starry...
