The Juice Company Cafe — Restaurant in Ankeny

I've now been here twice, and love this place. First, the prices they list all include sales tax, so you know exactly what everything costs.

Both times I've gotten a strawberry banana smoothy, which is delicious. The second time I took the wife and kids, and they loved their shakes as well.

I will say my younger child tried ordering just a chocolate smoothy, and he did not like it (it tasted very much like a cold twisty roll, which I acknowledge was odd). They substituted a strawberry banana smoothy to him for free, which I had not expected and was very happy that they did.

Went in to get a smoothie at the ankeny location and was disappointed. Their restrooms had no toilet paper (they put napkins on the back of the toilet), and there was no soap- however they had a huge jug of “body wash” next to the sink. There were also no paper towels. Quite gross to think about the employees not having access to soap as they are touching raw produce all day to make the smoothies. Seems like a health hazard and on top of that, the smoothie was really not that good either (I have been getting the same one for years). Tasted really watery. I really like the juice from this company. I normally get a 24oz. mango, apple, kale, spinach, and wheat-grass smoothie. My only complaint is that I seem to always get charged an inconsistent price.
