Smoothie King — Restaurant in Ankeny

I drove around 30 minutes to order here and the guy who took my order, Greg, was incredibly rude. I pulled up and he starts with’ Go when you’re ready, what do you want.’ I accidentally mispronounced a drinks name, called the angel food ‘angel food cake’ and he went out of his way to purposefully correct me. Saying ‘We don’t have an angel food cake drink. We don’t HAVE that. Unless you mean the angel food drink. Is that what you want?’. He then proceeded to cut me off when I was asking for frozen yogurt and gave me regular yogurt. Ngl, I would’ve ignored all that if my drink was good but it’s watered down like they made 3/4 of the drink ice and doesn’t even taste like strawberries and bananas. Though the person on window was nice. I normally come here whenever I’m in Ankeny but I think I’ll be choosing another location...

I worked here for moths. When i first started working here i was given 2 weeks to learn what i could about running the store and then was left to run it not knowing much. Everytime i tried to call Karen our supposed district manager she would tell me there was nothing she could do to help me. Every time i tried to voice a complaint Karen would shut me down. Today i was fired beacuse i wasnt able to do my job correctly, the job they threw me in with 2 weeks of training. They dont care about their employees as long as they get paid. I risked my health and safety to open the store during this pandemic and now im being thrown out cus they dont feel like they...

Strange experience here today at the drive thru. From the time of order to actually receiving what I ordered took over 15 minutes. When I asked why it took so long the employee went off on me. He said I could never come back. That is odd in itself., but when I called back a few minutes later to ask for the manager’s name he informed me that he was the manager. He must have recognized my voice and said if I called again he would call the police. Unsettling to say the least and from reading other comments it seems Smoothie King in Ankeny has some problems.
