I ordered delivery from this jimmy johns multiple times and it was rare for our meals to arrive punctually. However I gave them the benefit of the doubt as this is Ann Arbor and I know traffic can be a lot to deal with. However in this latest interaction, I called and placed our order, payed with credit, and ended the call. I received a call 15 minutes later from the store telling me they do not deliver to my apartment. I questioned why that is, letting them know that I've had delivery service from them multiple times before. The person on the other line informed me that one of their drivers must have been "hooking me up" because they should not be delivering to me. He told me that the person who took my order should not have and that one of their drivers complained when they found they had to deliver to my area. I requested a refund and wanted to ask for the number to another store that would deliver to our area. Before I could do so, the person hung up on me without giving me any confirmation that i would be getting a refund. I called back and let the person who answered know I was hung up on, she immediately put me on hold and the person who hung up on me got on the line. I let them know that I wanted my refund and when I had told him he hung up on me, he responded by saying that he "thought the conversation was over". I asked for another store who would deliver to us, and he told me that "that is non-existent". Read moreI've been ordering from this Jimmy John's for the past 4+ years. They used to be always fast in their deliveries - never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my sandwich.
The past several months, however, things have taken a turn for the worse. My minimum wait time is now 40 minutes, with some deliveries taking more than an hour to arrive. This happens regardless of the lunch time window I try. I've tried anywhere from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the delivery is always long. On one delivery, I waited almost an hour and a half before I finally called the location and was told that it hadn't even left yet; I canceled that order and went to Wendy's.
I've tried 5 orders in the past 2 months and it's been this way. I now have to plan my lunch at least 30-40 minutes in advance if I plan on ordering from here.
When I go into the location off Washtenaw, they've always been super fast - have not been able to order from them for delivery, though as they are not as close to my work as the Packard location.
So, 4 stars for the food (deduct 1 star for the price - $2 for a 20 oz. fountain drink?), and 1 star for the delivery service. I would appreciate a notification if the delivery is going to...
