Usually I don’t give restaurants five stars but this restaurant was totally different . I have only gave in three different restaurants five stars and this is one of them. I went to this place because my dad was on a service call and it was lunchtime and we stopped to get lunch. My dad always loves hometown cooking places so he said let’s stop here and I said OK . And I ordered the Texas Burger which is one of the best burgers I ever had it had lots of onions and bacon and mushrooms and a side of barbecue sauce and the patty and everything it was so good. Usually I don’t like onions but these onions were so good the ones that fell off the burger I ate . He Texas Burger cost 699 and I was thinking oh it’s going to be average size burger but no they brought out this mass of burger it was so good and the french fries were awesome. My dad had the chicken fried steak he said it was one of the best chicken fried steaks he has ever had the mashed potatoes he had with it he said was super good and he had brown gravy on those mashed potatoes which she said that the gap down gave m my dad had the chicken fried steak he said it was one of the best chicken fried steaks he has ever had the mashed potatoes he had with it he said was super good and the brown gravy was the best Brown gravy that he ever had. This place was over or one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. And I can sure you that if I ever and in the area again I will for...

We were seated almost instantly...only good thing about my first experience at this establishment. Less than 2 minutes after we were seated, the hostess came and asked if we we're ready to order. We obviously weren't. She then asked if we wanted to order an appetizer; instead of letting us take a gander at the menu to see what they had, she took it upon herself to list off every option in half a second. I ended up ordering the chicken fried steak that is the self-proclaimed "best around" with Mac and cheese and corn, my girlfriend ordered the chicken tenders with fries and coleslaw. When our food arrived, it looked halfway decent. That's all it had going for it. The chicken fried steak was way over done. So much, I felt like I was eating fried beef jerky. The gravy was decent, but only because it masked the horrible tast of the chicken fried steak. The corn was cold when it came out, and the mac and cheese was more watery than the corn. My girlfriend's chicken had been overcooked as well, it was tasteless and dry. The fries were so over cooked, they looked like sweet potato fries and had a charred taste. After our food arrived, we never saw the hostess again. It wasn't until we finished and asked for the check that we saw her again. Never asked how it looked or tasted. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I've had better tasting meals from freezer burned microwavable TV dinners. For nearly $30 for 2 people, I had much higher...

This place used to be really good. But it was not good the last time we were there, and we waited over a year to go back. Tonight they got very little even close to right. The fried shrimp were edible, but tasted like the breaded frozen shrimp you get from Wal-Mart. The cabbage was totally unseasoned and very overcooked. The fried green mators were mostly breading. The fried chicken breast was heavily breaded, and wasn’t seasoned. The cream gravy tasted like it was a packaged mix from a dollar store. The okra was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The salad was actually fresh and good, but the saltine crackers were rancid. Both the water and the Coke Zero tasted like chlorine - I don’t know if it was the water they use or if they clean the soft drink machine with bleach. Our server tried to make things right but the bad things were beyond her control. As we were talking to the hostess to explain what we experienced, another girl - I think she was another server - came up and started arguing with us. Finally someone that acted like a manager or owner came out and took the bad meal off our bill, but didn’t want to hear what we had to say. All in all, a very disappointing meal, and we will not go back. I just feel sorry for the hostess and our server, as they deserve to work at a better place...

Not a good experience on a Tuesday evening. My daughter had what was supposed to be BBQ, and I had fried chicken breasts. The servings were huge. My daughter could not cut the bbq. The chicken breast were so very dry. I had less than 2 bites of my chicken. My daughter less of her BBQ. Kitchens can have off nights, so I get that. But we were the only ones on our side of the restaurant, I left my empty tea glass on the side of the table. I finally got up to get my own refill. At the end of the night, I paid $55 for a baked potato, a cocktail, and iced tea I had to refill myself. Crows is not on my list of recommended restaurants.

Stand alone restaurant in old downtown area. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Menu selection was ample. Service was prompt. Food was hot or miss. Mostly miss. Chicken fried steak was very good. BBQ plate was fine. The squash casserole was almost all breading, Cabbage had little too no seasoning. Mac and cheese was very dry. Fried green tomatoes was very good. Tortilla chicken soup was really chicken soup with tortilla strips on top. Very bland. Loaded baked potato soup was very good. So overall it is very hit or miss. It is boarder line if I can recommend.

If you’re looking for a home time feel and good ole’ scratch kitchen, then wait no longer to visit Crows County Cafe in downtown Anna. The service, food and atmosphere was second to none. I got the the Chicken Fried Steak, (CFS). It came with a side salad and you can replace two sides for Baked Potato. I opted for the Baked Potato and it was loaded to the top. The chicken fried steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork, no knife needed here. Also had the Crows Feet which was potato Skins. You feel like you’re stepping back in the ole’ days. Just needed to saddle up your horse and trot on over.
