Ordered a green tea pot. Drank the entire pot but in my last sip I felt something with my tongue. I spat it out of my mouth and it was a COCKROACH.
We were deeply disturbed by the sanitation and the customer service that followed after. We ordered a pot of green tea with our meals (it came with 2 steeping bags) drank the entire tea pot - to the last sip. As I took the final drink, I felt something unusual with my tongue. When I spat it out, it was a dead cockroach that had been clearly brewed in the water.
When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, there was NO acknowledgment, NO apology, and NO sense of urgency — only a silent refund as if this situation was somehow routine. Later, when I spoke with the manager, I received a lukewarm and dismissive apology, delivered with an attitude that made it clear my concerns were not being taken seriously.
To make matters worse, when the cockroach was presented to the staff in the kitchen with the waiter beside me, I witnessed the kitchen’s staff laughing about the situation. This behavior, coupled with the lack of accountability, raises serious questions about the hygiene standards and professionalism of this restaurant.
This is not just a minor issue — this is a SERIOUS HEALTH and SAFTEY VIOLATION. I strongly urge management to address these problems immediately, and I would caution others to please RECONSIDER DINING here until these issues are resolved and proper sanitary measures are in place.

Read moreAs a native Korean and a Mala-lover, my friend and I went to this restaurant expecting original Mala dishes.
However, the food portions were very small compared to the price and the quality was less than decent. The meat they had (both the lamb and beef) were almost inedible. The thickness of the meat was way too thick to be used for malatang and it caused the meat to be more dry and boring. The malatang was way too salty and the rosé mala xian guo did not have any flavor whatsoever (was just spicy and creamy).
The biggest turn off highlighting our disappointing dining experience was that the owner of the restaurant brought his wife and all of his Korean friends to drink next to our table. They were very loud where it totally ruined the atmosphere. On top of that, the owner made the vibe very uncomfortable especially with their condescending attitude towards the staff in front of all the customers.
It definitely wasn't worth driving 1 hour...
