Chicken Pollo — Restaurant in Virginia

The Chicken is great, service is fast but wrong. This place needs a front desk person who is more proficient in English. I have had multiple instances with my order (both online & in-person) just because the customer service representative can't get the communication right. It almost looks like You have to speak Spanish before you get your order right. The lastest poor service robbed my Mum off a whole chicken. She was given 1 chicken at the price of 2, and then Yuca which is usually a free side was sold to her at $1.99 x4 and labeled as Substitute. I wonder what they were substituting. She explained that she wanted "2 Full chicken cut into four pieces each , with Yuca only." The Lady wrote down four ¼ dark chicken and she was billed for Yuca. Even when I called to complain, the first person who answered couldn't even utter a single word in English, passed the phone to another who was actually struggling with English and who acknowledged that she took the order, yet kept insisting that the order she served was what was asked. Who in their right senses will want to pay 4 pieces of chicken for the price of 8pieces and then pay Yuca for $7.96 which is supposed to be free? FACT: Mum left Virginia with a very negative impression of Chicken Pollo. I don't know how it will ever be fixed. The fact that she could not even express herself well is just evidence that she won't get orders right in that same language. They're using language barrier to rob people of their rightful due. Management needs to do...

Not really sure where to begin... this location was one of my favorite places to great lomo saltado... The prices were always fair and food was always delicious. Not to mention their chicken was pretty damn good too. I recently stopped by with my family and let me tell you my disappointment. It seems they have switched in management within the last 2 month and it has not been a good change. First thing is first, my son loves his tallarin verde he's 2 and not to mention it is a standard peruvian dish... well they no longer sell that here, I instead asked for tallarin Saltado, nope no longer sell that either... okay then I asked for pancita which I've always had here with anticuchos... nope! Not that either... well fine I asked for peruvian corn, again standard in almost all peruvian restaurants... nope! No longer sell that... wow! I was forced to order lomo which just was not well portioned and they skipped me on the steak. The arroz chaufa that I had to get for my son was tasteless and chunks of egg not sure what that was about normally its made together and in smaller bits. The chicken my wife got was not the same we are used to... I feel like it was precooked and them stuck in the smoker for flavor, was not all the way through the meat... I smoke meats all the time so I believe I have and idea of how it should taste. I wish I would have Come back before they made the change this was a terrible experience, I will not be returning and I absolutely do not...

Food is so good! Customer service is ehhh. Walked inside and waited on the side because there was a long line of people waiting to order food. When I asked “how do I know if my order is ready? I called 30mins ago?” An older lady chopping the chicken, responded very rudely “don’t just come in here asking if your order is ready.” And something else I couldn’t understand because I ignored her and because it was muffled under the mask. Thankfully shortly after someone handed me my order.

I was genuinely asking, because I’m not from around this side of town and didn’t know if I had to stand in line or just ask them for my order because I didn’t see a sign for pick up I had already paid for my food.

So maybe just have a sign for pick up and staff who won’t respond to a customer paying customer that way. After all I am supporting your business! Just a tip other...
